Just once I’d like to hear “game runs like a dream, even a toaster can handle it”. There’s this unnecessary need from big publishers to keep making games even more demanding with every release, they run like shit on consoles and you need top of the line hardware on PC, all the while the gameplay has been stagnating for the last two decades.

Say what you want about Nintendo, I personally loathe them, but at least they seem to have got the message that you don’t need to melt your system to have a good time. If there’s one lesson I’d wish other publishers would learn it’s this.

Nintendo is also a big company. I would compare it to indie games like Stardew Valley, Terraria, Hyperbolica, etc, where they rarely have demanding or realistic graphics, and the gameplay is often more fun that triple As.

I know you said big publishers, but there are tons of Indies and AA games that get released that run near flawlessly on launch.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is one that comes to mind. Didn’t Hi-Fi Rush also have a stable release as well?
