Same.
I’m now 15 hours in, my runs look nothing at all like my first ones, and are rapidly changing each new run but also still haven’t “beaten” it once.
Feels like I built a skyscraper and yet still have to get across the grand canyon to actually win and it has nothing to do with the skyscraper.
Except now I have foundation.
Sure. That doesn’t change that’s the name of the tools to everyone else, as steam, Xbox, windows and playstation call it calibrating even if it’s technically not.
Thank you if you were just trying to provide more context for others but it doesn’t feel like that. It’s a temp fix and information I was offering.
Did you know someone made an online tool for calibrating the sticks for dualshock controllers?
It saves the config on the controller too so it stays when you go back to the PS5.
Just as an option to replacing the sticks again.
It is nowhere near to as well known and in my circles Xbox controllers are referred to as the ones that never die or break instantly which is a very different issue.
Do those consoles have a history of drifting sticks across all their first party controllers?
The Wii U doesn’t get love but it sure was interesting and an upgrade beyond just resolution.
The 3DS line was inspired. Practically a smartphone in an era where they weren’t yet everywhere.
It was the fact that they didn’t show a new UI or added features to the base console. It’s effectively only a Nintendo game player and nothing else where as previous consoles were also note taking apps and a calendar and you could doodle animations or even take photos on some of the DSs.
They added no other functionality to this console and left it with less than previous ones. It only plays the games and that’s it.
At least a steam deck you can use a browser and watch videos on it too if you really wanted. The only reason to buy the switch is the games now which makes the price per game astronomical effectively.
You are gonna spend over $700 for a few first party games?
I’m just asking cause that’s the cost, $500 console plus extra controller plus the games quickly blooms into nearly a $1000 purchase for a few games.
I just can’t justify spending $250 per game I would play on it currently.
None its definitely the streamers who they want these in the hands of first.
Oh man the N64 graphics popularity seems to be really coming to a head.
I’m not against it but I want the joy of a spyro like game not the graphics.
You have the worst apologies for being a jerk. In fact you still haven’t.
This is a conversation about the genre. Where else to talk about the genre. It may not have been the conversation you wanted on it and didn’t like that I didn’t enjoy it your way and then made a bunch of incorrect statements on my point and then on putting words in my mouth.
Oh good though I swayed you into barely conceding and that you still think you can control other people into not having conversations you don’t like about a topic you like by being rude about them not enjoying it your way.
Sorry I’m not you.
So you came into a thread talking about the classification of a genre with admittedly the sole purpose of making condescending jabs at people who enjoy said genre,
I never claimed you were attacking anything but the genre
Seriously dude?
Also who cares about Lemmy downvotes. I saw someone downvote a question and upvote an absolutely false answer. People are called lemmings here. And you are most of the downvotes between you and me as I am yours for not adding to a conversation in good faith.
No you immediately took criticism of a genre as a personal attack because of your own issues. You take it as poor communication because of your own interpretation and the pushback I am giving for your misunderstanding of my point.
I have been consistent with saying it’s a short term fun game for me and that I find other games to be more rewarding.
Don’t blame others for being offended by other peoples opinions. I added to the conversation with an offer of classification of passive horde survivor and an explanation of how I got there.
I’m even having a pleasant conversation about that right next to yours where you have been antagonistic.
I don’t even expect anything from you other than to stop insisting I care if you have fun playing a game I only mildly enjoy.
No. Pretty much exactly not that and I see you also suffer the issue.
None of that is correct. And directly against what I just said.
And I contributed a name.
Nice, yeah I get it. I keep struggling to play my much slower games when it’s that late part of night and have decided to beat all my Roguelikes I have, but I can’t help but admit I’d rather be playing Katamari Damacy.
Now that’s how I destress. But that’s very passive.
Oh sure. It’s a pointed jab at asking if people have tried games I enjoy while being a little condescending of a genre I find to be best at filling short moments.
It just doesn’t match that comic cause that’s not demanding people stop enjoying something they like.
If people can’t separate criticism of a genre as not criticism of them I can’t help them either.
The top 10% of the population now accounts for over 50% of all economic activity. They have a level of income and reserved cash that is hard to comprehend and that just starts at $250,000 US salary and goes up from there.
Those people are spending so freely and so completely it’s practically the entire economy and we are forced to compare ourselves to them.
The extra annoying part is that in a population of 350million people in the US, 10% is still about 35 million people. So there is more than enough of them to compare to and for companies to aim at.
The 90% of us are the working poor and it’s not that others are stretching their money more they either just don’t notice or care to look or have decided they have enough to spend freely without any consideration of whether they can afford it.
