    Replacing the live service game with a one-time paid game with no microtransactions is the perfect way to sunset a title like this. Good job Nintendo.

      I’m seeing that here and there. I wish SE would do that for their mobile titles but… nah.

      Oh but this does give me hope for Fire Emblem at least. I liked that game until I realized I had no money or time for gacha.

      As someone who is not familiar with the Animal Crossing series, I first read this as Assassin’s Creed: New Hampshire.

      Yes it does. It won’t be the first time in the Animal Crossing series that items become unobtainable due to an online service shutdown unfortunately.

          There’s a lot of missable event items out there, though to my knowledge they’re also tradable so once added you can always order them and trade them to people who missed out.

          My students gifted me Sanrio stuff, for instance.

              If I’m being honest I have no idea when or how they got it but I think it was a once only collab. Maybe someone else knows.

                I believe there were some Amiibo cards. Hopefully those work forever even if they’re no longer for sale.
