Stares at most PDX games having increasing player counts

How much of this is the lack of people wanting to play strategy games vs the lack of good strategy games

I know it’s kinda cheating to bring them up in this context, but the Swiss manage to run trains to very small towns just fine

Maybe it’s just a case of hindsight being 20/20, but it in some ways really feels like they were borderline asking to get sued.

My friends base model kia soul from 2013 has less issues with gaps in the body and awful craftsmanship with regards to interior trim than the two model 3s that are in my family. The same has been true for quite literally every car I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned real pieces of shit. It’s also been in the shop less despite having been around an extra 7 years.

There’s actually a fairly large sweet spot where the sub makes a lot of sense (ignoring the fact that subscriptions inherently suck, of course). If you print infrequently enough that your cartridges are likely to dry out, it’s generally quite a bit cheaper.

Of course the correct answer for most people is to just buy a laser printer and go to CVS or something the couple timed you need photo quality prints. Don’t have to worry about toner drying out

Not to mention I’d wager a fairly large portion of city skylines 2 players are playing through game pass and wouldn’t be counted here anyway

I mean, yeah. They absolutely don’t want to be spending bandwidth on those of us who use adblockers. What I don’t think a lot of people realize is that Google is perfectly happy with the people who are essentially never served an ad not using the service anymore. Saves them money.

Unfortunately there’s a whole slew of people who are going buy it no matter what. See the same shit with sports games. Doesn’t matter how much of a lazy, shitty, watered down mess it is, people are going to buy it.

More cost upfront, but as we’ve seen time and time against companies will start charging subscriptions for thing they previously didn’t.

Then there’d the privacy benefits. Not needing to rely on some company to keep servers alive. Being able to more easily troubleshoot/upgrade/swap individual parts. Not having to use a different app for basically every single device. All that sort of stuff

It’s not going to be, it’s (from what I’ve seen) simply the same architecture. It’ll probably be what’s essentially a very cut down and underpowered (as in literally uses less power) version of it. Still a massive step up from the switch, which was already well outdated when it launched, but it’s not going to touch PS5 performance
