Fyi my TVs all have 100mbit ports and I stream 4k content all the time. Larger files (LOTR 50gbish) can take a while to pre load when direct streaming but once they start it’s smooth and i can seek instantly.

IMO next major sale they do a decent discount on the low end OLED and even if they sell at minimal profits that’s ecosystem lock-in and a boost for Linux in the household.

As long as those cables are secure. Can i just pull off your ipcam, plug in an rpi and pillage a network?

I can’t see it but the only smart lock i would ever consider is a z wave/zigbee device. Never trust Wi-Fi devices with security. It’s just to open to attack.

I think my issue was that the shelves are just number based so remaking a shelf isn’t the same as the original. Def operator error. Sync still worked fine it just removed books from the shelf but stayed on the device.

Before you get too far into it, check out booklore and calibre-web-automated. Just to see if ya wanna go a different way. I plan on probably switching the next time we upgrade e-reader or i have to factory wipe them. Redoing on the calibre side and just resyncing got messy fast and wife approval went way way down.

I use calibre to organize then i dump them into calibre-web. From there we make shelves (my wife and I) and sync with our Kobos.

Does Tautulli work with jellyfin?

I used compose maker a lot when i started learning docker recently. It’s a great way to see how to use tool.

It just stopped running at all for me (older pc, Linux/bazzite) after this last set of updates. I’ve been playing since early beta and it’s a wonderful alternative to PoE, grim dawn, etc but I won’t be playing.

I have a docker VM with a gpu passed through/external access (is this called production?) and another docker VM on another machine with no passthrough/external access. So both VMs are running multiple stacks/services and i just assign based on use case. Storage and memory are cheap imo and it’s the most secure way to do it with the skill level i have so it’s how i run it. I’m sure there’s better ways but 🤷‍♂️

I run Immich in a VM on Proxmox which gets backed up every 12 hours and all my photos are on the NAS which gets snapshotted every 12 hours and pushed to an external drive and a Hetzner box.

I’ll never understand why i can edit metadata on calibre, close out, upload it to calibre-web and it’s a crap shoot on what, if any, metadata populates.
