Valve is the only good thing in the hellscape. Linux support, cheap games and free multiplayer.
Who else provides this?

Checks out
Still waiting for that backward compatibility with discs.
I’m older so probably not in the demographic. I had a PS4 and liked it. My only complaint was paying for online service. But getting “free” games with the service, okay sure. Lol, you can play some games without PS+. I found this out playing rocket League, yay?
I thought about getting a PS5, but I’m not down with the whole rat race vibe. Paying more then retail seems silly. Resellers, nope. After 3 years the luster of having a new console is over. I’m fine with Steam.
The indie scene still seems good though.
I upgraded to PC running Linux instead
Like how the NES game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had Pizza Hut ads? Or like how the NES and Genesis have McDonald’s games?
Standard stuff every company does after a acquisition. Plus Microsoft just want you to subscribe to it’s game service. I’m not sure this is for everyone.
Using Gnome and it’s just not giving me the choice. I think my driver is to old. Found this
Note: NVIDIA drivers prior to version 470 (e.g. nvidia-390xx-dkmsAUR) do not support hardware accelerated Xwayland, causing non-Wayland-native applications to suffer from poor performance in Wayland sessions.
I have a older desktop running a Nvidia GPU. It’s fast and works pretty well but I’m stuck in X11. I just don’t have the energy to drive into the forums and see why Wayland isn’t working.
I want a Stream Deck mostly because Valve’s support behind supporting the device.
After months and months of meetings he comes to the conclusion that they should develope another Sonic game.
Sounds like they’re charging for a patched version
Acquisition in the tech world just means future layoffs.
Steam has won me over. Cheap games and free online play. And now amazing Linux support.
I went back to Stream. I liked my PS4 but just couldn’t deal with paying for a subscription service. I must have collected 60 games and played 7. For most of the time I wasn’t even using the service.
Hmmm. Should guarantee that the games don’t work once they abandon the drm.
Good reason to use Linux with Steam
… in the future!!!
Give us backwards compatibility!
I’m sad.
