You can build an RSS scraper that posts news from multiple sources to Lemmy. RSS is very well documented and you can use pythorhead to interact with Lemmy.

Alternately, you can scrape data from a currency exchange site and live display their data on your GUI. Trying to scrape sites teaches you a lot of things about how to approach it. You can make use of beautifulsoup library to sort out from the whole site.

It’s an optional mode for those who like it, I found their team fight modes more fun.

Nah fuck the political implications, the message is %100 correct. The current FPS games don’t give the same enjoyment as I used to get from the old MW3/CS:Source era, and I really enjoyed Splitgate 2 and truly think it can change up a lot of things in the FPS space.

If you’re used to splitgate 1 binds, would heavily reccomend to adjust controls to set left and right portal binds instead of being forced to use one button. Other than that, I really liked it. The powerup idea seems broken when you first see it, but all of them feel counterable with portal play.

I have a different issue. For some weird reason after launching Marvel Rivals, Steam itself bugs out and stops showing its window. This specifically only happens on Marvel Rivals and requires me to restart Steam to fix it.

Pop OS currently is keeping the next version update on alpha as they’re developing their own compositor display stack called COSMIC to go along with it; so some database dependencies might have outdated versions.

This is the kind of game I always wanted to play ever since being spoiled via Budokai Tenkaichi. I really enjoyed it even though I pirated it; can’t wait to buy it on a sale.

I am of the opinion that a gameplay idea should not be held solely by a single entity. That could backfire real fast.

However, using a trademarked name while copying it should definetly lean into illegal territory. That’s straight up wrong.

Skyrim. I have 200 hours in and didn’t even complete all side quests. I bought it on a sale for 8$.

Deadlock and Marvel Rivals’ gameplay are too different to be compared imo. Deadlock is a more MOBA styled fighter; where secondary objectives like killing minions / denying points contribute quite a lot to your effective performance. Marvel Rivals is more of a team shooter, where everyone has a slightly different role in the team per design.

I see all the graphics technologies as an extra bonus to the gaming experience. It might make the game experience slightly better; but it alone doesn’t make the best experience.

I’ve tried various team based shooters over time like Dirty Bomb, Overwatch, Paladins, and even now I try newer stuff, like Marvel Rivals. However everytime I feel get bored of them, I hop onto TF2 and no other team based shooter gives the the same satisfying gameplay loop compared to it.

Regardless of graphics; a well made skill based game can keep players for a long time inside it; i mean just look at aoe2, it’s the chess of strategy games and a ton of people still play it to this day.

lmao, to think this game costed four times as much as APB is crazy. That game was the definition of “publisher throwing money at a single project until something fun comes out” and it was fun. How do you not accomplish that at four times APB’s budget?

Ace Attorney is a classic that has been remastered all the way up to PCs, would reccomend it.

Unlike other game engines, godot’s open source nature allows this; but not sure if people behind the fork will put in some actual innovation on top of the engine instead of lmaoforking.
