The strength of life to face oneself has been made manifest. The persona Carighan has appeared.

Yeah everything about this is wrong.
They could have had this golden opportunity if this came out the very week OW1 went OW2 and pissed everybody off. Even with the pay-once price and all that.
But now, it’s much much much too late.
(edit)
Also, people underestimate just how much art style makes or breaks these games. Concord has some neat hero designs, cool ability sets and smart ideas, but it looks so utterly generic. The heroes are somewhat okay even though they really need an art style that doesn’t look like a leftover CoD asset, but wow the levels and gameplay and weapons and all all look like asset flips.
Artists, Sony. Hire some. Your AI cannot save you, as should be evident at this point. Stop paying the corporate accountant to design level art.
You must be reading weird reviews then. Probably too deep into the influencer-bubble, which granted with the proliferation of video reviews and the way algorithms work on Youtube and so on is sadly rather comment.
I would quarantine that game in my review bucket based on it’s isolation of specific trigger words such as ‘COVID-19’. I’d rather talk about Winnie the Pooh, tbh.
Good to know you like censorship.
Some things are just for men, their depression, their anger, their pain…”.
I mean, you can just ask for suicide watch straight up, instead of veiling it like that?
Betteridge’s law says the answer is ‘no’.
The general rule against youtubers too full of hearing themselves talk says ‘I couldn’t give a rat’s arse, not going to click that link either way’.
It’s weird how little identity this has now, visually. The previous design was quite striking, now it looks easily confused for something else.
Maybe this works better with screen readers though since it’s just black text on white background in simple text blocks.
Tentatively excited.
Liked CrossCode despite the rough edges. This looks like it’s the same thing in more polished, so if it’s as good as the trailer implies, I’ll probably get it pretty quickly.
It often feels like that label has been overused to the point where any game with dodging + slow combat movement is automatically a “soulslike”, no matter whether it’s like an actual Dark Souls inspired game, a visual novel or a racing game…
Roguelike or roguelite?
(Sorry, had to 😂 )
The second phase of the final boss in Elden Ring.
Not because of the actual fight.
But I struggled the whole game with the extremely narrow FOV and motion sickness from that, and during the final boss, the FOV was actually too small to fit the entire boss during its animations or look at it when it rises (I think they later extended the camera max motion upwards in a patch?), and that excaberated the issue massively. And beating that boss while feeling semi-sick constantly was just not a nice experience. :(
Hrm, you’re not wrong but Hades also exemplifies why quality wins over quantity when in replayability.
Yeah I do. I disagree with most of their posts, but I agree with the motion that using the same labels indiscriminately is a problem in online discourse.
For example, far as I know so far, I’d call him a pedo, but I am unsure whether I’d call him a predator (of course, language differences apply, too). That’s just because I need words to express the predatory nature of people like Maxwell who prey on teens and YA.
That’s kinda what I meant, there’s too few words to just use the same label across the board sometimes. Doesn’t make something someone does less reprehensible. Rather i prefer to sometimes use full sentences instead of quick labels because it more accurately expresses the matter.
I did not disagree with that, so I’m not sure what you’re on about.
Yeah that’s a fair take.
It is reprehensible and disgusting behavior, but it doesn’t mean we should universally apply labels across vast swaths of different issues, as it devalues said label and poisons future discussion.
Simple labels simplify discussion of course, but that runs the risk of losing nuance for the specific way someone was a disgusting creep.
Yeah but that game is either (depending on how you view early access) woefully unfinished and shat out in such an incomplete state, or not released yet and possibly years away from release.
Yeah that’s the point of the video.
He’s not wrong, Valve does have a lot of power over the PC gaming market. Worryingly so. But Hi-Rez of all possible asshole companies with an asshole boss should be very very quiet about such subjects.
“Fun” doesn’t pay C-suite bonuses or shareholder payouts. Ain’t nobody got a reason to work on that!
It’s 2024, and we still assign significance to streamers and stream viewers. No wonder the world is going to shit as fast as it is…
