Do you think the guys that draw the comic are the same guys doing game development?
What?
Do you think the guys that draw the comic are the same guys doing game development?
Gta online was a scam long before this.
Day 0 DLC will be “Garb of the Veil guard” and it will be a handful of average looking outfits that you will remove the moment you reach a vendor who sells something +1 better. It will be included in the preorder.
Day 1 DLC will be a side quest that is billed as delving deeper into a companions backstory and integral to the main plot. What it will actually be will be half a dozen mild conversations and 2 fights that will never be mentioned again.
When I’m going from my desktop to the deck I miss being able to do things like press I for inventory or M for map, things like that. So usually I set them up to replace those little shortcuts to get me though games that need me to flick about a few menus to get to them.
News just in! People like games that are fun and don’t try to fucking rob you at every opportunity.
Shocking
Gimme an open world game where I’m the terminator and I’m tracking down my Sarah Connor equivalent and doing various covert or not so covert actions that lead to the creation and rise of skynet.
If I’m defeated I’m taken back to a new machine body in the future to see the effects of my timeline meddling, pick up a new target and head back into the past and the open world.
No thanks. I play games to get away from real life.
My prediction is on it having stuff like the far cry and CoD games where there’s an in game store you can buy “exclusive” items, skins, boosts, shit like that.
Every loading screen will have an advert for the current “season” of items that will, for no reason at all, become unavailable forever in a few weeks time.
None of it will cost real money, it will use some in game currency will convert from real money in increments that are just slightly higher than the in shop items, so you are always left with some left in your wallet.
Normal game progression will reward with some of this currency, just enough to buy the cheapest store item. In game events will give you some free items that you go to the store to claim. The free stuff is shite.
Ah, so it’s not just my own perception that was making me think that steam was filling up with crappy visual novel stuff.
I think similar to Skyrim and fallout, of you have good enough reputation with a character then they will let you take some of the lower value items in thier possession.
That’s why you have an outpost with a two story hab module that you use as a fruit and veg pit
You can cover a much larger area for detecting outpost mineable mineral deposits then using the scanner by trying to deploy the outpost beacon. In the top corner it will show what resources are in its radius.
It you look up it will move the beacon away from you a long distance before it stops. Then you can turn on the spot to cover a huge area or just sprint/moon jump around to cover ground.
If you are in the radius of an outpost you can press the button on scanner view to deploy another outpost beacon to re-open the build menu for the outpost you are in.
Many outpost structures can be built on top on the hab buildings which can keep things out of the way and harder to hit by attackers.
** this one might be a bug or a feature.
But the robots you can build will count towards an outpost crew members but will allow you to build them even if you don’t have a crew slot available. If you have one crew station built and two crew assigned already and build a robot, the first crew member will disappear eventually. I lost a companion character this way.
Bg3 I think really has shown us what is achievable in today’s games. The branching and intricate story around the Prisim you retrieve at the start of BG3 (without going into spoilers) and the repeated revelations about it and how to can change the direction of the story. Even the companion stories that feed seamlessly into the main plot.
My playtime in starfield is limited at the moment but I’ve been picking along a quest line for a company doing some corporate espionage stuff. But every mission has felt so lackluster. The first mission to “infiltrate” a rival company office and plant a virus. I expected to be putting my stealth skill to the test and breaking into thier server room, dodging the cameras and guards. But what I actually did is walk unimpeded into thier 2 room office space past the reciption desk and though the security checkpoint, squat next to a computer in a cubicle, do the hacking mini game (which is the same as the lockpick one! A downgrade from fallout) click a button and then walk out. I didn’t even have to convince anyone I should be there or even hide my presence.
The following missions were equally uneventful. Run to a “secure” place unopposed, squat, click the gizmo, run back. In one I had to wear a suit, which the vendor in the same building would sell me, and the game even told me that.
Such a stark change from even the simple quest path to out kargha in the druid grove as a wrong 'un in BG3
I was hoping for at least some scattered ruins on earth. Like there are random generated gas tanks and buildings on most planets.
Just something a little unique.
Maybe I should try and learn to mod it and do that.
Theres an option to hide helmets and suits when in a non dangerous atmosphere in the inventory somewhere. I comes up at the bottom when you select the suit slot I think. Easy to miss
But you don’t have to do most of those things? You can go straight from standing on a planet to standing in a city you have already visited by just selecting the location from the map and choosing travel. It will load once and you are there. Going from ship to surface has no loading screen.
In the same thread he says that fast travel ruins his emersion? But having to get in his pilot chair and see his ship do the grav jump is too much?
Ragging on Bethesda games is just what people who can’t form thier own opinions do. I’m with you, I’ve played most of thier catalogue and nothing has ever been unplayable.
New Steam Feature… errrr … Weleased
It’s looks like almost any video game ever. Menu, space in the top right for marketing.
Some games put something more visual in the middle. But why does it matter. After playing BG3 for a while I’m just mashing the continue button as soon as it comes up.
I predict the online parts of GTA6 will bleed into the single player game. There will be things your SP characters can access only if you have unlocked it in online. Garages, cars, weapons and suchlike. Maybe even money. Will be done as though your online char is part of your SP gang or something.
