Surprisingly easy a lot of the time, mostly because nobody seems all that enthusiastic about enforcing the copyright.

Maybe thats why they sold so many microtransactions. “Surely if I spend another $10 it wont be shit”
Or buy up some classic IPs and do some quality games with them.
Give me a new Carmageddon.
In fairness to the guy, IMO a lot of their lesser known stuff is lesser known for a reason. Its filler, its not bad its just not very good. And compared to their best work, its a turd in a punchbowl.
But to compare yourself to “The Beatles” of your industry is very close to the height of arrogance. I mean, I loved the Borderlands games, Gearbox might be selling out shows but they arent filling arenas.
It might become a cult terrible movie. I think thats its only hope.
Ill watch it at some point, but I wont be paying.
I will be looking into this further, thanks for the tip.
I have to set up my pc for dual boot, choose a distro, install it, get it to work if theres any issues, then sort out whats different then try and install all my apps and games to figure out what does and doesnt work from those.
Its not that I dislike Linux or have anything against it but Ive been running Windows since 1996, I know how to do things already. I just want MS to just stop being “helpful” and fuck off. The quest for ongoing revenue means that is unlikely though.
I might give Linux a try when my daughter is a bit older and I have some free time. I like the IDEA of it, but I know Windows now and already.
I dont want to have to use what limited spare time I have to learn how to use Linux, I dont have the time its that simple. I have a pc, it just WORKS. Literally everything I want to do just works. I just want to have the start menu do exactly what I want, stop recommending me onedrive, stop showing me advertisements in outlook and stop giving us privacy invading features nobody wants.
As much as I hate advocating FOR subscriptions. If Microsoft told me for $10 a month I could just have windows with all the options for me to run it HOW I FUCKING WANT as opposed to how they think I should. Id pay it.
If tactical turn based is your jam Ive been having a lot of fun with “Showgunners” its a running man cyberpunk themed tactical.
Its pretty good.
Please please dont suck.
I think you’re absolutely right. Personally I see the next big switch will be to handhelds. The ability to just pick my switch up and take it wherever I’m going is the primary reason I own it. They will do the premium one with the screen and controls and the “lite” edition will need a tv.
I wouldnt be surprised if MS and Sony eventually step out of the hardware game either entirely or mostly and simply licence out a “Playstation phase # compatable” certification to others (that you need a PSN subscription to use) so you know that that Steam Deck/MSI whatever/Asus handheld will play anything from the X generation of playstation titles or older available.
You need to think on a Macro scale with stuff like this. The fact is that this voice got loud enough to get a response, and thats how the ball gets rolling.
Most politicians wouldnt consider the videogamers and tech crowd to be a great demographic to chase, but if theres one politician who needs an identity… one who thinks “I can be the “Pro-consumer rights” member. Videogames just being shut off, rights to books and movies you “bought” just being revoked…yeah thats a cause thats hard to argue against. Makes me look like a champion of the people. Especially young people.”
It got a “Yes, we heard you.” It doesnt mean you stop.
Nope, Australia.
But thats a company policy. My point is that if you dont like the policy, dont take the code for a free playtest of the game.
I’m not allowed to say ANYTHING negative if someone calls for a staff reference for a past staff member. Not if its a verifiable fact, not if I can provide evidence, not if I CAN SHOW THEY WERE CHARGED FOR WHAT GOT THEM FIRED.
The most negative thing I can do is say “They worked here between these dates” and repeat that answer for any and all questions.
From what I heard Asrock became a joke quality wise and got the shits about being the lowest quality mainstream manufacturer and did something about it.
At least that feels sort of organic.
Theres a classy (well… less sleazy) way to do it. if EA want to make the billboards in the next Need for Speed game real advertisements it wouldnt feel as bad as unskippable 30 second video advertisements before each race.
The problem is they will do both.
And then when they lay those 50 people off in a year “Its just greed! They should be ashamed of themselves!”
Nah, just a regular shoe. Not too hard. Just enough to convince him to get Fallout right.
“Vampire says people are being selfish not wanting to be fed on.”
