You can set the webpage to self refresh on interval by itself no extensions needed.
“Page refresh”. You mean F5 (or ctrl + r) right?

Excellent article. That’s why I use OSS first and foremost as they don’t have the incentive to bring in € instead they are more focused on a quality product.

That’s Firefox’s fault not the plugins. They don’t allow any plugin to run in internal pages.

Quite true. Linux and all modules loaded into it are GPL licensed. The userland and tooling on the other hand can be licensed however. They are free to close source on anything except kernel code.
