40 years old. Haven’t been satisfied with a phone-slam since before my first cordless phone in 2001.
Honestly the only thing HP has ever made that I haven’t been horribly, horribly disappointed with is their monitors. Just through circumstance of ‘whatever-the-fuck-was-cheapest-but-not-total-ass-when-I-went-to-buy-them’ I’ve ended up with 4 different HP monitors over the years, including a 20ish year old 4:3 one which still goes strong to this day.
Every other product was pure unadulterated ass.
Fuck sake…
Edit: Just shut shit down, sell the IP’s to Dramatic Labs (who are made up of former OG Telltale people) and let shit continue on with competence (I say, having enjoyed Star Trek: Resurgence).
I’d expect a discount on a Disney live action remake because they’re horseshit, but that point doesn’t answer your question lol.
In fairness, they would have been absolutely stupid to have not done a 100% prewritten, teleprompted PR riddled pre-written response given the situation. Linus sitting down in front of a camera and just letting his mind do Linus things isn’t gonna help anyone lol.
Don’t worry, another year or two and they’ll be selling us Overwatch Classic™ for $15 a month.
I love getting a game for free, because I got a game for free, because I got a game for free!
(Seriously, got the Quake games for free via the Bethesda launcher, then got em for free on steam via transferring them when the Bethesda launcher went tits up, and now getting the remaster for free because of that lmao).
Well that sure as shit wasn’t on my 2023 bingo card.
Yeah that’s me lol.
OW came out, I couldn’t get it for 8-10 months, I was already playing TF2 a bit so I went hard until I could buy OW and barely touched TF2 again for a few years.
OW stopped their updates, I started picking up TF2 again outside of OW’s seasonal events. OW2 launched, I uninstalled and was back on TF2.
Lemmy has some bonus points which at the time when I signed up (I joined Beehaw around the same time) that Lemmy does (or didn’t) have.
Blocking domains, blocking instances (coming soon), better UI (subjectively), user styles to add extra features, each community has a “normal topics in a forum” and a “Twitter-lite” area for different post types, I believe kbin has better integration/federation with Mastodon (which I also use) compared to lemmy, along with others I’m probably forgetting. (Edit: Forgot one lol, on kbin we can see upvotes and downvotes, as well as (on a topic by topic basis) you can see who upvoted and downvoted things, which I get some people wont like, and some will like, but we also have that on kbin, and can see those stats across instances of kbin & lemmy).
I don’t follow your end of the development so Lemmy may have some of those in the pipeline, or may already have some added, but at least a month ago it was a bonus on this end. The lack of an API right now does suck since it limits the app thing, but they will have an API, several of the apps devs have already said kbin will be included when time comes, and kbin mobile is honestly real good regardless so it works out.
Hopefully soon, along with an API for kbin (since I’m there and want it too lol).
I gave up on Netflix so many years ago now with zero regrets. The second they started their rumblings (nearly a decade ago now) about wanting to stop people from accessing other countries media selection I said fuck it, spun up a Plex install and never looked back.
I used the hell out of mine back when I had it, loved this thing.
Ah, I see you’ve taken part in Bullshit Corporate Meetings™ before!
Gave up on Netflix a good 10 years ago when they first started quiet rumours about stopping people from accessing other countries catalogues. Immediately spun up an install of Plex and today am sitting on 30+TB of everything-I-ever-wanna-have and won’t be going back. Only access to any paid streaming service I have is D+ via a friends account, and I’ve used it 4x in 2 years lol.
Sync for years, then when the dev had done one of his up-and-disappear-for-half-a-year’s I switched to Boost. Now I just won’t use Reddit.
Whelp…boo-urns. :(
