4·3 months agoDid an oopsie. I never realized that after upgrading the OS, my
certbot renewservice to renew the HTTPS certificate always failed. So now I had an expired certificate. At least it was an easy fix by reinstalling certbot.
Huh, Silksong is out now. Maybe it’s time I played the first Hollow Knight?

312·9 months agoI think it was obvious that it was never going to be a free game again. The problem is making it look like it’s free to play and then hitting the player with a paywall after a few games. Also, the subscription model is shitty. I would readily put down a onetime payment for something that works as least as good as the web version, which is a lot more polished than the free alternatives I’ve seen. But I refuse to buy into this subscription model.

Yeah, that’s kind of what I thought, and if dynamic DNS is a problem then that already rules out self-hosting for me.
