Wait so if a game doesn’t not need online connection it can say buy?
That is such a huuuge advantage to indie devs that can let you own things.

Oh man, that picture of Gabe just keeps getting better.
They don’t really respect IP laws, I’m surprised that companies are so thirsty for it.
Even if China becomes a big consumer of western media, I would imagine their goal would be to make their own media, like a state approved and sponsored media.
So I agree, long term, China is a bad bet for western companies
I mean, I agree but this could mean more devs target that market.
So I go to right wing online spaces (I want to keep a close eye on fascism) and they are praising this game and treating it like a win over “the radical left”.
Apparently, cause it doesn’t have diversity and it’s selling that means that they were right about “woke” stuff.
And here I am just looking at it thinking…
Huh, I’m glad there is a good new game, wish it was my genre instead of another dark souls clone.
I don’t understand the downvotes on this post though, do lemmy users think it’s a controversial game or is it cause its all Chinese players and thereby the headline is a little misleading?
Cause if it appeals to just one demographic, I’m not gonna play it cause I’m not in said demographic.
Can’t imagine convincing a group of c suite folks of that.
Just tried it and it didn’t work for me:
Could be a version issue
Unfortunately, Bethesda are the only ones in town who are capitalising on “Bethesda style games”.
I thought a lot of games are like that now. I personally love the fallout universe but hate the game style. Hate now things like horizon zero, Witcher, Elden ring, assassins creed and all those games have slow pace open world with huge RPG elements.
More like Bethesda game style become an industry standard. That’s my perspective though, im sure those who like the format don’t agree.
I really thought that’s where it was all headed. After the release of battlefield bad company, where they introduced a game engine that can destroy whole buildings, I really had hope for the future.
I imagined games where you can just build and destroy entire cities.
I own this game, didn’t realize it has multiplayer…
I guess my reservation for such a decision is that I’ve seen many games with main focus on story but also great fighting. Like the original god of war or prince of Persia trilogies. But that’s an unfair comparisons given those are really, really good games.
Yeah, I was obsessed with this game until I got it and realized how bad the gameplay was (for my taste). Compared to things like devil may cry, it was so basic.
Sure, you can make games as entertaining as possible!
But no in game money or data harvesting. Very, very simple rule to enforce for single player games: no online connection needed.
I feel like if I was a subject matter expect in these law suites it would be over in a week.
Imo the most iconic and representative of the best place for steam deck is while traveling.
8 hour flight? Do I have my deck?
