Ah yes the NVIDIA/AMD/Sony/Nintendo/Whateverotherconglomeratedouchebagcompany at it again. I’m done building PCs and fighting for playstations, I’m so tired of this crap. My 5800x3d (that I got on sale) is seeing me to the apocalypse.

I haven’t, because I haven’t bought access to Ubisoft junk in years. Last I saw of their financials, I’m not the only one. If you want this behavior to stop, stop consuming media. I sure have cut way down. I cut the cable cord, I barely watch TV, cut all my streaming services except for one. Don’t buy many games anymore (mostly because they all suck, are often poorly finished and are often just a damn re-release). I saw my Spotify is going up 5 bucks this morning, it’s getting cut this week too.
All this purging, yet my life hasn’t changed whatsoever. Almost feels good to get rid of all this crap. They only did it to themselves, so I hope they go have fun chasing people pirating 20 year old software. The crash is imminent.
You shoulda saw me trying to shoehorn that 4070ti in. Things the size of a schoolbus.
It’s pretty insane. It’ll get a first weekend bump, and then just be a blip. I’m not 100% sure on this, but I don’t think the first version of it sold that well either.
I’d normally be excited for this (I live in the area the game is set in), but that price tag. I have the PS4 version that I paid $14.99 for. I never finished it either, speaking of which, I must put it on my immediate list.
AI is just boomer fuel. The amount of boomers running around at our firm that have turned into AI bots is hilarious. Every solution, every question, “ai ai ai ai ai ai ai”
I enjoy making humourous pictures of them and their 9 fingered hands using AI. We’ve cranked some great memes out lately.
RTO just means “layoffs” under a different branding. These gross companies know how to be extra gross. When they really want to actually do a big layoff, that’s when they’ll roll out the “RTO” policy.
User friendly I would agree. Definitely has the best UX. Not sure I would agree that it’s the cheapest though.
Could someone (politely) explain why anyone who criticizes steam gets absolutely scorched?
I mean I’m a user, on the PC it’s probably the platform I purchase on the most. I’ve also used Epic, GOG, and a few of the others. Like most, I’m getting pretty annoyed by having to load what seems like 15 different platforms to play a variety of games.
But I’ve never understood this blind absolute cult-like following of steam. What makes them absolutely beyond any reproach or criticism? Especially when at least Epic gives away lots of free games (like I think I’ve spent about $20 bucks on that platform, yet it seems like I have just about every game known to man in my library). Or others that don’t mess around with DRM, etc. So what gives?
Considering it’s made by Microsoft, I’m going to go out on a limb here and suggest it’s compatible with Windows. Specifically Windows 10 and 11 I believe.
I’m on a replay of the single player campaign, and since this update the map is laggy as hell, and it’s dropping frames like crazy.
No. Slow news cycle
Except that a PC with modern specs costs over $2k to build. Comparing PCs to Consoles is a fools errand, yes of course it’s way better, because my gaming PC also cost five times as much to build.
I bought a PS5 earlier this year that’s just collecting dust. I guess I didn’t realize or appreciate until after purchase that there is very few actual PS5 titles. There is no way in hell I would consider a PS5 Pro with their current library.
I don’t think it matters in the long run. Make trash products, realize trash results.
Yeah that’s a fair point. But you should still be able to play offline. I’m not much of an online gamer anyways.
Yeah I think we’ve learned by now that if you can’t touch it, you don’t own it. I’m tired of “leasing” software.
Is this game still a borefest? I played it for a week last year, and it just didn’t do it for me. Is it worth jumping back in yet, or should I wait another year or two?
They are saying that the bullet might have been up to some conspiracy stuff. I’m dumb as shit, and even I got that first read. C’mon. The bullet might have been from one of those Disney movies, or straight from the acme factory. You don’t know.
For real though, don’t take life so seriously. It’s hard to find humor in serious events where people died, don’t get me wrong, but at the same time a little bit of color might bring a bit of joy or a laugh to someone at a time when everyone is trying to get us to all focus on darkness.
This is all on the manufacturer. AMD often does this, gets themselves a whole lot of press, to release like 10 units to the public. Then they bask in all the, “people are fighting to get it” press. Look at what they did with those 7900XTX cards, like they pretty much pushed me right onto nvidia’s lap. I’ll never be able to wrap my head around this strategy, why they think it’s a winner. It’s great that you have a good chip, but if most can’t get it, then what do you expect your sales to be like? I mean I can count on one hand the amount of times I’ve queued for a computer chip, because it’s zero.
