Reminder that the reason that GOG is DRM-free and offers offline installers is because it was started by former pirates (in a sense).

If there is a game you love, buy it from GOG and archive the offline installer. If it isn’t available on GOG, pirate it. The number of games that have disappeared is too damn high.

The PS5 is a great UHD Blu-Ray player. I see no reason why not get the disc version.

I loved Steep, so when Rider’s Republic joined GamePass I installed it immediately. Once I saw the interface, the monetization and how almost everything was paywalled, I uninstalled. Not even getting their shit for free makes it a good experience.

Larian has always supported modding and D:OS 2 included a GM Tool, but BG3 belongs to WotC/Hasbro which likely limits what Larian can allow players to do, officially. I know this is an old geezer comment but I miss FPS games where you could configure and host your own server. To this day I can still boot and find Unreal Tournament (1999) servers with active lobbies.

Day one D1 player here. I finally ditched out with Lightfall (I could not even finish the campaign). I really want to finish the saga but I just can’t bring myself to play it. I hear PvP is worse than dead now.

I expect Sony to shutter Bungie pretty soon, which is sad because a Destiny series and spinoff games in other genres that further the lore might have been really cool.

Multiversus is the strangest one. It came out like gangbusters, hotter than Salsa Picante de Mama Funkystein, then they shuttered it for over a year before releasing it again, at which point everyone had moved on. Why did they shutter it when it was hot?
