smh they gave us purple yennifer and we can’t date her either, what are they even doing???

I was also surprised a bit that they made nova basically a kid but I guess it does kinda work in the end

(i dont mind it that much, I like that they have the established plot. the romance boils down to repetitive lines of dialogue at home anyway so w/e)

  • There is no prize to perfection, only an end to pursuit.

Rhino is kinda simple but perfectly well-rounded and still relevant, and therefore kinda boring. He’s still very much a straightforward 2014 warframe, just scaled for today’s enemies, so I can’t bring myself to play him much. No special interactions with anything besides a huge dmg buff to everything, a huge tanking overguard ability and a huge aoe CC. Excellent abilities on their own and… that’s it.

  • This is a crazy thing to say in the context of an online coop horde shooter but having infinite energy and being practically immortal is just not something that is relevant anymore in today’s warframe. I think this clearly means that the issue lies more with warframe than it does with trinity but it is what it is.

At the very least the rework should have combined her first 2 abilities and given her a new offensive dmg or CC ability.

I really like post-rework Nyx and she can do pretty much any content nowdays but imma be honest, I’m still not a big fan of mind control or absorb.

Mind control takes way too much effort to setup for too little gain, even if you ignore the victim sometimes stumbling into the nullifier and wasting it. Absorb is boring to use and doesn’t do that much compared to regular weapons even in a best case simulacrum scenario with a good buffed MC enemy active. Assimilate is, as it has always been, just an invulnerability toggle and nothing more and that’s not even that necessary nowadays when she’s sucking up armor and overguard from the numerous eximi enemies.

…but her other abilities and passive make up for it so it’s not a huge dealbreaker. A fallback invulnerability ain’t bad to have and you can always subsume sth like Nourish or Roar on her #1, it goes well with her high strength and duration stats.

Speaking of armor sucking, I really like Arcane Battery on nyx, you can easily maintain over 1k energy without Flow. She doesn’t really need it but it’s always fun to see

  • Thanks for explaining, I think I understand now 😁. I never really delved too much into WF theorycrafting because the game is kinda too easy as it is, but I love reading about stuff like this because it is interesting from a development perspective. It seems like they calculate the damage at the moment when the bullet is fired and in this case, once they have to calculate all the conditionals when it actually hits the target, they don’t know all the internal parameters for damage calculation so too many things get multiplied? I wonder if it’s actually a huge technical undertaking to actually fix this, sounds like the bug has been around for a while after all.

Maybe the real damage nerf DE needs to do across the board is just fixing the damage formula, that would at least somewhat normalize the stats for a change. It seems so easy to take advantage of these bugs even if you dont explicitly go out of your way to abuse them

Maybe it’s just been a long work day but can you ELI5 perhaps? What is a conditional critical check? Why do you say “modded crit” when referencing a not-mod source of crit, in this case a passive ability, isn’t that the opposite of a “modded crit”? Why would a direct damage increase from Galvanized Aptitude (if that’s what you mean by “impact”) affect crit chance and get it up to tier 6?

Does this even have anything to do with Yareli or is it just Acuity+Xata’s Whisper shenanigans, is it all just exploiting a bug? I don’t understand what a simple crit chance increase (on paper) has to do with all of this…

I’ve been wanting to give Yareli a serious try for a while now, can’t wait until the prime comes out to finally dump all the forma into her. I like the generalist all-purpose frames and with her good CC, DR and damage potential she seems perfect. I wish I liked her aesthetic more though, or that she had a different enough deluxe skin…

No Nukor as a recommended secondary? I thought the increased crit chance would pair well with its high crit damage (although most of that is irrelevant now that we have Secondary Enervate that makes it even more OP anyway)
