I don’t play, but that’s probably caused by users with potato connections or extremely high ping being allowed to connect to the server. Pretty common problem with online games.

40% of the world plays video games in some fashion, the market is plenty big enough for everyone.
This is like a black hole of stupid. Everyone involved (participants, observers, and whiners) should feel such deep and incredible shame that any of us had to read this headline.
The stuff they’re calling ai now is just predictive text algorithms. I really can’t wait to stop hearing about this because it is all artificial with no intelligence.
I’m looking forward to this one. Hopefully, it lives up to expectations on release.
The incredible stupidity and vitriol of gamers is hilarious.

Ha, in his defense, it wasn’t him that reported the “noose” but a member of his crew.
I was reading that list and thinking it sure sounded like a Bethesda game. It’s weird that there is a charm to the jank, but it might just be nostalgia.
That’s fair, with the summaries and what not. This isn’t a game the news corps should be playing, though. If meta/Google actually deliver and hold out this time, they could tank the Canadian news market within a couple of months, forcing a reversal.
This isn’t meta throwing a tantrum, it’s the news site’s throwing a tantrum. They want social media and search engines to pay them for simply linking to their site. Social media and search engines drive traffic to news sites, these morons are shooting themselves in the foot and reducing their own revenue.
I said I’d fool them, not give them the solution. Just have a server running the ai and earning a check while I do whatever I want.
If I could have an ai fool a company and earn a check for me, that would be amazing. Unfortunately, I have zero expertise in how to make that happen.
This is a nonsensical argument. If I were running a website, I would also ban any account selling sex. The amount of legal exposure you’d face regarding human trafficking is too great. I’m not going to spend resources trying to sift through these accounts so some randos can profit, especially when accounts tied to trafficking would still be missed. I’m not pro-corporations, this just makes practical sense.
Oh wow, so it has literally nothing to do with connecting players to the server or with each other? That is wild they wouldn’t have spent the time to fix it given all the money it makes, but hardly surprising.
