This is pretty cool, thanks.
The problem I had with no man’s sky is that a large amount of the out of proportion expectations were a direct result of the developers over promising, rather than consumers just being over hyped.
Not in the least because Elon Musk is a complete idiot that has only managed to whittle literal billions of dollars just by being himself.
Every good company he has touched was either built from the ground up by someone else, like Tesla & PayPal and remains profitable in spite of his existence, or was built from the ground up by someone else and was subsequently ran into the ground - See Twitter.
There is a considerable amount of depth to the game, but it’s not insurmountable for anyone. You’ll have no problem going through the game if you read through tool tips and help pop-ups as they arise. DnD knowledge needed is none at all or negligible at best.
If you do end up playing, I hope you enjoy!
I’m inclined to agree with others here in the thread. I honestly don’t think this was an intentional action designed to tank Twitter. It may well be doing just that, but frankly, Elon has proven time and again that he’s a world-class idiot.
It’s a great little game with a surprising amount of depth, would absolutely recommend people try it out.
I’m unsure if this is satire.
No problem at all, I’m happy waiting. Here’s to hoping you’re correct about Waterford G6. I appreciate you taking the time to investigate for me.
Unsure if possible, but I’d love to use this on Waterfox.
Currently, states it’s incompatible with the latest version of Waterfox, no problem at all if it’s not something that can be remedied.
Took me longer than it should have to realise this wasn’t a shit-post.
You’re partially correct. A considerable portion of the earlier denuvo builds were able to be removed completely, which is what I’m referring to. You’re right in that crackers have trended towards circumvention as later builds have been more difficult to combat. Though I would disagree that there is overwhelming evidence to suggest that running a game with denuvo does not affect performance in comparison to the same game with the denuvo build removed. There is evidence showing statistically that it does negatively impact performance, not always on the user end, but sometimes on the hardware.
That and yeah, in-house anti-tamper and other DRM bullshit is an equal if not greater issue.
They have no fucking idea.
In the pirating/cracking community, we’re seen as evil because we’re helping DRM exist and we’re ensuring people make money out of games
To a minor extent, but no – They’re seen as evil because their software significantly lessens the end product. Why the fuck would you play a new $70 game that runs like shit on your machine because the publishers rammed in a bunch of trash code to annoy game crackers, when you can just pirate the game with all the trash code removed and have a much better experience?
The ethics situation aside, until they can solve that issue and prove that it’s actually solved outside of useless press conferences, they aren’t going to gain any good will.
It’s sad really, the game had potential but it was very clearly undercooked and over ambitious considering the studios past. That’s a lot of developers who will be out of a job, have to feel for them.
Can’t help but feel for the developers here. I get that Bethesda has no responsibility to keep 3rd party Devs updated, but surely someone on the team would have noticed the potential for community engagement and worked with those putting the time and effort into the IP.
