Haha mine too! I recently upgraded my gpu so I opened it up and realized I daisy chained it. Lesson learned!
A soup.

Ya but machine gunning Nazis is a mitzvah, like helping the poor or holding a door open for someone. That’s different.
They make game engines and rely on the community for the rest.
My understanding is that there are two issues. Manufacturing defects cause the copper to oxidize, and the processors themselves request more voltage than required or needed, causing excess oxidation damage. Intel said they cleared up the manufacturing defect issue sometime around October 2023
Microcode patch doesn’t fix the oxidation problem that they all inherently have. I’ll be lucky if the the cpu lasts a couple months of minimal use.
We’ll see if it lasts a couple months I guess.
Literally just paid for the final part for my LGA1700 rig… saved up for months. Fuck this shit.
I’m running my i5 13600h until the computer can’t turn on anymore. I’m not made of fucking money.
Nah the board is a few years old. I’d be taking a loss on the motherboard and cpu as they’re both out of the return window.
Maybe I should just sell the entire pc.
Because no one has beaten it yet! Seriously I’m 95 hours in and at Act 3 and there is still at least another 20 or so hours of me playing before I get to what I’m assuming is the final quest.
Great fucking game. And I’m someone who likes playing shooters and racing games.
Just bought an i5 13600k. Should I be refunding this? I’d have to entirely replace my LGA1700 motherboard as well :(
Agreed. F2P multiplayer and paid campaign rubbed me the wrong way. Just wasn’t the halo I grew up with.
…and that’s the end of Halo.
I played the 3 CD OG Age of Empires III with my brothers as a kid. It was great. We rigged up Hamachi to create a private network and manually edited some AoE config files with our Hamachi IP addresses to be able to have LAN coop sessions. Half the session was getting everything installed and working.
Now it’s even easier and we play regularly, decades later.
Lucky you
Just ordered an i5-13600k for my flight sim rig haha. I am in danger.
X plane is leagues more stable than MSFS, I can guarantee that
I bought FS2020 a couple days ago and was unable to download the game. It was 160gb and the connection to Microsoft servers kept cutting. Most of the times I tried opening the program it would just crash on the loading screen. I was almost 2 hours in trying to just get it to download the game when I made the executive choice to just refund it before my refund window was past.
Bought xplane 12 instead. Less pretty by all metrics but it takes barely any time to open and is highly modable. At least now I can fly planes.
That’s perfect! Now marketing companies have way better data on the addiction market segment which is handy because there’s still enough time to tailor custom ads for their psychological profiles which will push them towards products and political positions if we slip them in their social media feeds for at minimum 3 weeks!
