I liked the magic in Elden Ring. First Souls game I played magic in and I feel it was very strong. If you’re going with sorceries, just be aware that the first magic teacher is easily missed. Look up where they are if you get too far into the game without finding more magic.

I guess it’s a combination of passion for the project and having enough money to live comfortably. ConcernedApe is a treasure and I hope the industry keeps shifting towards indie devs and companies that have this philosophy of making games for the fans and not for the money.
Yes and people have been complaining about the abuses these companies do with all of these for the longest time. At least all of those have some use unlike loot boxes and other microtransactions.
It would get them some more downloads, but it might just be too difficult for them to achieve since their games are all the embodiment of “Jack of all trades, master of none.”
Part of the problem are the stockholders who expect the shares to go up in price every time. If it starts dipping down enough a huge portion of them will pull their shares and bankrupt the company. This causes companies to mostly think in the short term cause it’s better to make a bit more money than be bankrupt.
