Perfectly tuned is not the right environment for creativity.
If Blizzard owned something comparable to Steam they could have become too big to be bought by Activision.
As an enjoyer of turn based rpgs and the occasional rogue lite as well, I think it looks promising so far. The combat reminds me of Crown Trick which I enjoyed a lot.
The art style is cool even though some sprites look a bit uninspired imo. The music seems decent from the trailer.
I have bought less games but it is more due to lack of quality of games if anything.
Eh,
gamingjournalism just wants clicks to get ad-revenue.
Because maximum profit at all costs mode.
I’d like to pick up a cheap steam deck first.
So the escapist is closing down soon? Alright then.
If the content is good and the price is fair for what you get then I’m not even opposed to paying a creator for their work.
However I ain’t pre-ordering shit.
I played several LoZ games on PC. 🤷🏻♂️
Ssshhhr. Moving fast lowers fps.
Does the game have a socialist foundation? I’ve played it several times and I don’t see it.
The union in the game is corrupt as fuck, if you become a Marxist you get told all the flaws in the ideology (just like all the other ideologies you can follow).
I believe a generous free trial paired with a subscription model is currently the best way to go about MMO monetization when it comes to ethics and financial viability.
I take monthly cost over aggressive fomo advertisements of dumber and dumber immersion breaking skins and performance hogging flashy effects any day. Even worse if there is also pay to win. Most of those mtx monetization models prey on wales who fall for this type of addiction easily.
How is this even worth a headline. Yea no shit there is a lot of competition in the souls like genre.
You can try to make a profit without if being your main focus I guess. There are the channels which review and take all the free samples they get and try to pump out a review on time no matter the quality to generate as many views as possible.
And then there are a few review channels who will put out their review when it is ready and good. Who will give away review copies if allowed. Those reviewers would call out shit even if it means being locked out of review copies next time. Which of course means less profit. There are even review channels which do not do sponsored ad segments. Instead they’d be relying on viewer support. But there aren’t many of those.
I’m very happy to hear that make fantastic video games without any nonsense attached is still a business model that works today. Good to hear Larian and BG3 are doing great. Very well deserved.
If you can’t explain it you don’t truly understand it.
Maybe there is a lot of projecting going on here. ‘if I don’t get it as a smart VP person then gamers definitely won’t get it.’ just an idea.
From all the grease.
