Am I really high or is George Yang an AI?
There are way too many games and way too many genres of games for there ever to be a single greatest gaming year
I looked at mine and got depressed, both because of how much and how little I played.
Anyways, time to go play Cyberpunk again.
Its definitely improved a lot since I joined ~6 months ago, though I’ve also started to see more of the bullshit that makes all the other social medias icky. But, so far its been easy to ignore/block and its cool to run into familiar users across different communities that comes with smaller platforms.
Yeah, but the conversation still feels distractingly one sided and disconnected
I know it’s not a literal muteness, but it still feels like there is a disconnect between an unvoiced PC and voiced NPCs that respond to dialogue that was never spoken. Maybe I just struggle with projecting my own identity into a character that literally can’t talk, but I never feel connected or as immersed in games that don’t have a voiced main character.
It’s ultimately a purely subjective argument and there is no better method in the voiced vs unvoiced debate.
I think I’m the exact opposite. An unvoiced main character often feels incomplete and breaks my immersion. Unless there is a believable reason for the characters muteness.
Journey and A Short Hike should go on that list too
One company owning, or trying to own, every business or studio in an industry is literally never a successful and positive thing. It will create a monopolistic vacuum that will ultimately destroy the quality of video games and drive the retail price up as Microsoft tries to leach as much money out of the industry as possible with the least amount of effort. Competition is absolutely critical to prevent this inevitable outcome.
How else will they be able to afford to develope GTA 6
