Except for the hard drive, ram, and video card.

People were playing text-based multiplayer, effectively mmos with PvP well before Tim-Berners Lee invented the Web Browser.
http://mud.arctic.org/ this one is still around.

But why? You don’t need telnet to transfer text.

I’ll always be able to play Balatro, Factorio, and he’ll, I’d go to text based MUDs first.

Like a wireless router?

Can your neighborhood communicate when the Internet goes down like Iran?

You can just have things be out of scope. It’s really okay!
Thanks for the work you’ve put into this.

I had the choice when buying a new PC to go with single threaded 64-bit or multiple cores. Particularly for gaming, I figured a single core was all I really needed, and 64-bit was the future.
The correct choice at the time was multiple cores. Everything going to 64-bit wasn’t going to happen until that computer was long dead.

They could, actually. I was there, in the olden times.
Not efficiently, of course. And these days it’d be a disaster. But it was possible.

Which is just as risky as instantly updating unless you’re really closely keeping an eye on which updates are security related.

Thank you!

add up a bit for their storage requirements
I bet I, myself, with my current hardware could store ALL of the cloud save files with redundancy.
Save files are usually some type of text. All of the text on Wikipedia comes out to about 24 GB.

I’ve been told over and over again that Valve needs that 30% and they can’t possibly do all that they do with a lower margin. Clearly hosting some files, hosting a forum, processing payments, etc is about ONE THIRD of all the talent and effort that goes into creating a game.

I read that as “on state for 3 minutes” or “off state for 3 minutes” and not a combination of on/off for 3 minutes. Easy to test. Turn the light off. Turn the light back on.

Does that mean you can’t turn the light off and back on quickly, in the case of something like forgetting something in the room?

Yeah, more games need to be like Amazon’s New World, where they kneecap their own game in an effort to appeal to the masses like you and the shareholders.
Tennis would also have wider appeal if you didn’t have to run back and forth so much. They should look into that.

The PvP is the majority of the challenge of the game. If you remove that, for the PvE players it becomes Cookie Clicker and they’re done in a week. And it also reduces the participation in the PvP side and damages that part of the game as well.
The cat & mouse mechanic is integral to the game’s success. If that doesn’t work, this isn’t a game.

PopOS with Cosmic did handle my odd 4 monitor configuration better than Ubuntu did.

I think I’m going Ubiquity, which isn’t entirely platform agnostic, but should work with Frigate just fine afaik. Would love if someone could confirm.
Called what? That you didn’t like their use of emojis?
What does that have to do with this? You didn’t call shit.
