I pirated it and still felt ripped off. When people were praising the nonsense plot when it first came out it felt like I was taking crazy pills

I was in basic training during gamergate, and to this day I’m confused what the actual event was and it’s evolution. All I know is ‘gamers’ felt more right wing after it
Moral of the story: Tõnis Haavel is an incompetent, vindictive, corpo hack
I’m wary too, but hey, for $40 I’m curious enough to see what they can do
Made by New Blood, those seem like some stand up guys
Can’t wait for them to be corporate cogheads in 30 years if history repeats. Or I’m too cynical
No idea why people called this a great turn around, maybe that Netflix anume was just so good it rewrote history in people’s brains. I wouldn’t know, I didn’t watch it. All I know is a friend gave me cyberpunk for free, it crashed 8 times on launch, and I uninstalled it for 6 months. Come back and it’s not crashing but it’s the same. Boring. Game.
Antarctica is a desert
Wasteland 3 takes place in Colorado, so it’s a post apocalyptic (snowy) desert adventure
I played it on mute and it didn’t really help
This statement is so causticly capitalist it reads like parody
What did they do
Just in time for my new deck coming tomorrow!
Finally I can play that beloved classic Lord of the Rings: Gollum
For me it felt like it said all it had to say on the first planet, and kept singing the same note for the rest of the game. Low weapon variety, non existent stealth, and not much ambience to see on the way to locations like fallout. It’s the starfield before starfield, but at least I finished outer worlds.
Getting 2 a few months after release to see if they improved, this news makes me hopeful it’s closer to classic fallout.
What happened then
My party is suboptimal in weapons, armor, and magic items because it’s too slow to pickpocket the non-selected party to see their inventory and the camp chest and compare it to everything else
Anecdotally but this is why I felt there were less interesting fallout 4 mods to me than NV despite there being more of them.
To me, beyond being very generic (freestar collective and united colonies, had to regoogle them to remember), the very basics of the game felt not fun; from tedious resource collection to the world’s first joint loading screen and fast travel ‘space exploration’ system. I felt like I was missing something, but it really was just a worse no man’s sky. When the very basics are this boring of course a large amount of people will have something negative to say. I don’t want to explain how quickly I was done with the crafting systems, both for weapons and colony building, which they somehow made less fun than I had in fallout 4.
Like cyberpunk I got this game for free and I still felt ripped off. But unlike cyberpunk I wasn’t hyped, so now I’m left standing just wondering where all the time spent on this went.
Don’t even need a translation, seems blatant in the original language
