Why the hell did OP not put the name of the game in the post?
It is Tavern Keeper by the way.

The rice growing is not Harvest Moon-style “plant your crops, water them every day, and harvest after five days”. You need to monitor the water level of your field, the water temperature (and air temperature), crop spacing (it is not grid based), the nutrient ratios, the field aeration, etc. Your first couple of years are going to be a rough until you level up and unlock actual numbers for these instead of having to guestimate.
I tried it for the first time a few months ago. It was bad. The in-game tutorial does not cover half of it and the game play that I could figure out was super shallow. I could probably look up third party getting started guides, but I did not think it was worth the bother.
Maybe an issue on the back end skipping over all of the new private subs? I assume that many of the big subs had popular posts just before they went private, so the server has to spend more time skipping over private posts when rendering popular?
First and foremost, get third party clients working again. I am used to RiF. I tried the official app. It was very busy but showed much less useful information per screen. I could not even even leave it installed on my phone. It kept spamming (shitty) notifications to try to goose my engagement, even after I disabled them.
Anger about bad corporate decisions fades, but if I cannot comfortably use a site, I cannot come back.
If WB really wanted to tank their game division, they would do what they did with movies and start cancelling almost finished projects for a tax write off
