Hmm, this one has been on my radar for a while. They already eliminated the need for a always online connection, if I’m not mistaken, and with more content coming it might be finally time to get my hands on it.

Hhhhmmmmmmm… Yeah, so the article mentions that Palworld was created using money from their previous game projects. Incidentally, especially as far as Craftopia is concerned, those games aren’t really finished.
Last I saw Palworld it still looked like a janky alpha, with really bad AI, bad pathfinding, janky animations and physics, clipping… It held me off from buying the game.
Not sure how the current state of the game is, but I’d hazard a guess that it’s still not close to “done”. So the article assures we’re not seeing the last of Palworld, but so far the modus operendi of Pocketpair is to eventually abandon their current, unfinished project for a new one.
I’ve recently finished playing the entire Ratchet and Clank collection… Well… With the exception of the PS3 spinoffs.
But yeah, was surprised the Deck can actually handle PS3 emulation quite well. I was holding off on playing Rift Apart, but when I got Motorstorm running nicely, a game that previously was completely impossible to run decently, I was convinced I could finally go and play all of R&C.
Now I just got to wait till…
*checks notes
… 2029!?!
Uh… Yeah… 2029 for the conclusion of Ratchet and Clank…
Anyway, Rift Apart ran great after some tweaking. The default settings make the game look fugly.
Yes, but No Man’s Sky seemed like a real turning point. At first it was still considered embarrassing. Now it’s the status quo.
I already moved to Linux. Windows is basically doing this already.
The only recent game I’ve played that made my GPU cry was cyberpunk. But in the beginning that game was also a mess and now runs pretty decently.
Thing is with modern day AAA games, considering what unoptimised messes they’re released in, I can’t be sure if the issues are with my card or the game being shite.
But to be honest… I don’t play that many AAA games anymore. The majority of them are incredibly uninteresting to me, are riddled with live service garbage, or are generally all pretty graphics and no substance.
Huh… So an integrated GPU now performs better than my GTX 1060 6GB?
Considering that I can still play games reasonably comfortably on my 1060 I find it pretty impressive.
Though… This is likely also writing on the wall for me to upgrade… At some point… Though honestly I dint feel like I’m really being limited by my GPU yet. The 1060 6GB is a pretty legendary card.
For whatever reason Warthunder attracts a lot of people that are total nerds over military hardware, especially on the historical side of things, including a lot of wereaboos. It also attracts people actually working in military positions, where a lot of the leaks come from, to my understanding. I remember a bunch of years ago there was a leak because a bunch of them were having an argument on the forums, and one of them was an engineer with access to blueprints.
Meh. Wake me up when Squadron 42 is released… And actually reviews well.
I mean, it runs flawlessly for me as well with all the DLCs… Just not splitscreen multiplayer.
I’ve been down the rabbit hole of looking for a solution around the controller connection applet freeze, and with some people one solution works, with some others another… Sometimes temporarily, sometimes permanently… Considering the variability surrounding this issue I don’t think an actual solution has been found yet.
I’ve been over a grand multitude of solutions, including this one. None of them worked, I’m afraid.
Well, yeah. Racing games, platformers, and action games are generally more comfortable with controller. Third person shooters, FPS, anything that requires aiming, or RTS games are still best done with mouse.
Switch emulation works pretty great. But be advised; there are problems with getting Mariokart 8 Delux splitscreen working; the game tends to soft lock on the controller applet. Rayman Legends the complete edition has no such problem and I’ve had a blast playing with my family.
PlayStation 2 works great and can even be pushed to render games at higher than native resolutions. I’m currently playing Spyro The Eternal Night and Ratchet Gladiator.
Since it can run PlayStation 2 that good I don’t see any problems with the Deck running GameCube or Wii games… Except for the instances where Wii games may need motion controls.
PlayStation 3 requires fiddling with the settings on a per-game basis. And then still you’ll probably have to downscale the native resolution and limit the framerate on games to make them run well. But the PS3 emu comes with FSR built in and I can’t really complain.
Yes, but Age of Empires II DE, Age of Empires III DE, and Age of Empires IV have all been great, and are still doing great. Out of all the recent Age of Empires stuff, only the very first Definitive Edition didn’t do well, but ended up becoming a DLC expansion to AoE II DE.
Basically, there is no reason to believe Age of Mythologies will be a bad remake based on just the one game that didn’t do well out of a bunch that did do well.
Likewise.
Me and some friends were discussing about all the layoffs we were hearing about from every major game publisher, and the tech world in general.
Major layoffs, that is, despite also reporting good profits. Record high profits, in some cases.
I said it might me likely due to these companies looking to replace a portion of their workers with AI. Looks like I was right.
Hmm… I think what determines nudity to be artistic instead of porn is the presence of urns. Yes, if there’s an urn you can immediately tell it’s intended artistically.
So… If I’m commissioned to draw furry smut, does that mean I can stream that to Twitch now?
Um… Yeah? You about Steam Cloud, right?
Besides that, if it’s a none-Steam game you could just… Transfer the same file to the Deck. Did with a couple of games through Google Drive.
