Device, maybe. What happens to the games bought from a DRM monopoly?

That’s right. Got my words mixed.
Any real number, literally.
I’ve probably used a few for closer to a decade. Especially the three button ones in the 90’s (in Sgi granite) were nice.
Actually there’s an optical wheel mouse of some sort right here on my desk that I think I got used with a computer in maybe 2012. Model stickers have fallen off, the plastic is worn down and even the metal plate at the top looks as if it had been sanded down. It says Logitech, though.
But those naturally aren’t current models.
There are industrial switches that last practically forever. I’ve made some test robots for wearing out limit switches and the decent ones could be hammered constantly for days on end without a single miss.
Another component that doesn’t wear out is a photo gate. It doesn’t click or spring, though.
Actually just a decent keyboard switch would probably put up with a lot.
But it’s cheaper to go cheap and you get more repeat business.
I once had a hard drive of some particular vintage that wasn’t able to start. I did actually get it running with a hammer tap. Got the remains of data out and replaced the drive. It was nothing special, a Unix system drive with nothing that wasn’t on tape, but I just had to see if I could fix a hard drive with a hammer.
I also remember one admin who would often be seen walking between computer maintenance room and workshop wing with drives and a blacksmiths hammer labelled “format”.
Here’s one nice list which also reflects the status of their usefulness. Physical availability varies widely, though.
I think it’s more like a door slam without a door.
It is tempting to assume that older gamers exclusively play low-fidelity games on their smartphones. This is simply untrue.
While mobile is certainly the biggest part of the games market in terms of revenues, 55+ gamers account for 23% of monthly PC gamers and 11% of monthly console gamers.
Literally unplayable.
Oh, I forgot the slim existed. Interesting that someone took advantage of that.
PS2 didn’t have networking apart from the odd firewire port and a very expensive devkit.
I just got a second one because it was peanuts and came with two good controllers while mine are all kind of subtly broken.
I do actually have a PS4 with 5 controllers because once bit. I don’t know if I’ll find the time, but if I feel like playing something stuck on the three like infamous or demons souls, I can.
Maybe I’ll get the 5 one day. And maybe I’ll find that emulation can solve the old title problem.
Really nice and comprehensive looking page. Should probably test drive that some day. Thanks.
PHP warning.
Concept? I thought so, too.
Uninterruptible power supply is the common use.
Yes. Got to admit mine just isn’t as big as yours, though.
Wait till you try transparent pngs. It’ll be like it should have always been.
It was not. 30 years ago, it would have been very good, though, as a lot of media was still SD.
