Apple’s constant anti-interoperability stance is the core reason I do not and will not own their products
Yeah, every install comes with a hit of DMT
NDE available in the next version https://daviesmediadesign.com/gimp-3-0-update-non-destructive-editing-complete/?noamp=available
I do this sometimes purely as a way to find content I otherwise wouldn’t. The most active communities on lemmy are meme communities, so once you block them you basically have a feed of pretty great content to scroll through.
Are there any downsides to this? Why isn’t it default if it is so drastically better?
I’m intrigued too, seems like a fairly simple platform to replicate
That’s a familiar number
Now if only my people I knew used signal instead of WhatsApp 🤦♀️
Seems like nobody had heard of it until it shut down… No wonder it shut down
I really dislike the bots that repost content from elsewhere. People barely ever comment on the posts because they know there is no one there to respond, and the posts feel very un-curated.
Like Songkick? Haven’t heard of any self hosted thing like it
I want 200k and 30% of the company

Ok but what if we used LLM AND blockchain for this
Really would be amazing if godot became the Blender of the games world. A serious open source contender used by major studios.
I would love if there was a platform where they charged a very small amount monthly eg. I £1/€1/$1 in exchange for not using my data for anything. I love lemmy but I’m entirely at the mercy of the instance maintainers and there is no guarantee my data won’t be used
To be honest I’m not interested in the file sharing side of nextcloud as I use Syncthing, I’m more interested in the utilities (eg notes, kanban) and the office capabilities. I want to replace gsuite
I use Syncthing for my files, I don’t need a Web ui so it’s great and handles huge directories easily.
Yes I have 8gb of ram, but it seems insane that it needs that much considering what it is doing.
It is literally a zip file. If I remember correctly you have to write some xml which describes the layout of the skin and then include any images you need, you then zip it and change the file extension to wsz. So really you could put anything in a skin.
