I can see why spez is upset about scrappers and search engines - image a company profiting from people creating lots of data, just hoarding it and using it for free, and not paying those people a cent, preposterous, right? :)

Loved this year’s Tennocon - it still follows the trend I dislike of “here’s a story mission in a game called Warframe about those things called warframes, and we’ll make you play anything and everything except warframes”, but at least Arthur plays LIKE a warframe, so I’m good.

Also, holy hell I absolutely love that On-lyne song, unironically. It’s just so nineties it hurts, and I want to play it on repeat all day :)

Pretty excited about Tokyo Game Show too - as soon as they confirm which day is their big reveal I’m almost definitely buying a ticket. TGS lines are hell on earth, but I think I’ll brave it just to meet the team.

As others say, Roar is probably best, but I’m a fan of Nourish too, even after the nerf, because of the utility and added energy regen. Definitely not as strong as Roar, but still nice.

I got it on Game Pass and wanted to give it a try, but when I sat down on the couch, controller in hand, and tried to run it, it asked me to take my phone out and scan a code to create yet another worthless account somewhere. It wouldn’t allow me to even start the game otherwise.

It made me actually say “are you fucking kidding me!?” out loud and uninstall immediately. Screw that - I will not eat at a restaurant that makes me scan a code to see the menu, and I will definitely not play a game that does it either…

Rant over, but that experience annoyed me so much that no update or improvement will make me want to install it again.

Meanwhile, FIFA players: “when can I pre-order the next edition of my game, and could I just pay for the cards in advance, or do I have to wait until release?”

I don’t even do NG+ in these huge games, but now I’m going to skip this one on principle, even though I do like the series. Nope, not going to allow a company to treat me this way.

Yeah, but recently PS+ subscriptions only get a around 20% discount on Black Friday, and Sony is hiking the price up by now than 30, so it’s more than likely that the discounted price is still going to be higher than the full price now…

This price hike is absurd - fortunately the only game I play online (Warframe) is implementing cross-save soon, so I’ll be able to move away from Playstation and stop renewing Plus - 80 dollars for online pay and cloud saves is robbery, how greedy can you get?!

Torid. Not even close for me - LOVE that thing. Charges from body shots (which is great because my aim is really bad AND I play on PS5) and then just deletes enemies along with their friends and everyone else in the approximate area. Immensely satisfying, my absolute number one weapon since the adapter was released.

I’m on an instance that defederated from only 3 other ones: voyager.lemmy.ml, ds9.lemmy.ml and enterprise.lemmy.ml - just checked now. I honestly dont see a firehose of trash, tankie invasion or anythig of the sort. I do aggressively block communities I have zero interest in, so it might still be happening there, but I personay don’t see it at all - anecdotal evidence, I know, but that’s been my experience.

I think eventually that might be a great idea, but for now we have so little content and activity here that I wouldn’t mind individual question threads either.
