yeah this instance allows community creation, downvotes and nsfw - it’s basically the biggest no-nonsense instance i found :)

is there a discord where things are being organised?
Redditor of 11 years here - i feel you.
For what it’s worth, i’m trying to start one of my favorite reading subs (maliciouscompliance) -

I’m interested in Battlebots too, so if you start one I’ll definitely join!
the only issue now is user engagement. lemmy instances are filled with empty communities. people need to post more, especially in smaller communities.
“fast” is relative. Twitter is dying a slow death, but due to its size there are still millions/tens of millions of users.
Facebook is effectively dead for anyone under 35, and yet it marches on.
wanting everyone in your own walled garden is standard corporate fuckery, but Apple deliberately making the color contrast lower for green messages is just dark.

yeah, that’s why I signed up at lemmy.world :)
I don’t like that beehaw doesn’t allow community creation (or nsfw).
Is kbin also part of the fediverse? Can you interact with kbin from lemmy, and how is it different?
ahahaha the reason I finally stopped using Yelp was because their mobile site would only load part of a review and would force redirect to their app if you tried to expand on any reviews. Rather than download the app or change user agent, I just gave up.
every website and their mother wants you to download their app nowadays.
i pretty much consider beehaw a separate thing of its own at this point.
