Vintage story has grind also but it makes it way more interesting and satisfying.

I had issues with grind as well since the unlocks system required every single person to start at the same time and not play alone, as everyone had the same missions.

I especially love how warthunder js a f2p game but doesn’t feel like it forces you into parting with youe money.

Yes for good games like stalker with it’s incredible, unmatched alife or arma where the large world serves a purpose or gta and red dead with it’s detail.

No to terrible checklist games where the formula is copy pasted across series and not backed up by good ai or good worlds, only with timewasters and checklists, eg ubisoft.

Personlly ive ended up dropping witcher 3 and elden ring thanks to open worlds but for some reason cyberpunk works for me.

Just pirate the copies of games you’ve already paid for if you want safety and archival.

You can replace those consoles with a mini pc running linux or steam os pretty damn easily.

I have both and I don’t really care about the oled vs lcd display quality. Both give a picture that is way way way more than enough to play any game on it. OLED screen just is a tiny bit bigger which helps and oled model has a better charger with longer cable.

You just need to realize just cause they release new product does not mean you need it right away.

Theres 1000s of amazing, incredible, your favorite games you have not played that are available for like a tenner. And you choose to spend 80-90-100+ dollars on something mediocre that will be 10 bucks in a few years anyway.
