FFXIV lets you do almost all of the main story solo now, making the amazing story accessible to so many people. There are a few instances of having to do an alliance raid or trial every 40 hours of solo content or so, but if you weren’t ok with that, why even play an MMO? It’s in the name, “multiplayer.”
Yep. Was just about to say this. FFXIV has a strong community, and the director actually listens to the community. Like with Bozja in 5.x content, it was so fun and a really nice way to get a relic weapon and have a good time with friends. With 6.x they didn’t implement anything like it and the community let them know, so they have said that they are doing something similar for 7.x. Some midcore/harder content that’s accessible to everyone.
Me and my wife are both big gamers. We both enjoyed it a lot. I get what you’re talking about in the gameplay loop, but we play games for stories. The story was engaging and kept us interested. I did enjoy the gameplay though.
Yea I was about to say. I play games that stay around 120 on my hardware and dip to maybe 80 sometimes. It’s not that noticeable, especially during action and if the dips aren’t super sudden drops. But 45-60 is noticeable.
Huh? Use the remote app on your phone. It automatically pops up like a notification when there’s a text box on the screen. So easy. You can turn the box off by holding the power button for a few seconds. To close apps, you double tap the TV button and then it’s an iOS like interface that you scroll over and swipe up on the ones you want to close.
The UI is very minimal and the same across most all apps, so it’s easy to learn and use. It may be missing some power features, but most things are accessed via clicking of just holding.
I’ve only seen the first movie twice and not the second. When I went to Disney World a few years ago, I loved Pandora. The Flight of Passage ride was amazing. I had an emotional experience on it. You’re riding your banshee and then it comes to a stop and you feel it breathing against your legs. I suspended my disbelief for a second and teared up at that experience.
I may pick this game up, but the Ubisoft part has me worried. I’ll wait until after launch, but if the world is like that ride, I think I’ll have a pretty good time.

Yea, I don’t need anything but a register to the site and access to the DNS record to point to an IP that I can change sometimes. No special anything past that.
How do I do this? I currently pay for a google domain at a cheap rate of like $13 a year. I want to keep it cheap and make sure I can just point it to my box.

Right. I was simplifying it by saying it was encrypted, but it’s just an auth token from the service after verifying that the user is authenticated.
And correct. I’m just an idiot and didn’t do research to explain it, even though I’ve used JWT tokens in my applications before. Hahaha. Thanks for the detailed correction!
The decoding algorithm can change, which is exactly what happened, invalidating all previously generated tokens. They cannot be decoded to a password though since they are encrypted, meaning shared passwords wouldn’t be an issue (though you should use a password manager to not have this issue in the first place).
Lol this is not how the hack worked. JWT cookies are encrypted. They don’t contain your password at all. There was no way to reverse engineer from your cookie to your password.
That’s why MMOs are fun because we don’t use voice comms for random people, just text.
