Hemorrhage money to kill or buy smaller studios, then jack the price and tank the quality. Shove some AI in it for good measure.
You’ll own nothing and you’ll be happy about it
Still hard on the Monster Train 2 grind
Ah man that’s pretty disappointing. I probably won’t buy it until then
I have a lot more problem with the quality these days then the innovation level
Absolutely agree.
Pokemon, on the other hand …
Whatever flavor Lego game suits you is good too!
Man i almost didn’t post this cuz I thought it might turn into a flame war.
Thanks for not being a stereotypical Redditor
batteries don’t like to sit on a charge continuously
I absolutely agree for traditional lithium ion batteries, but for lithium polymer batteries, a middle SoC is best for longevity. As far as I understand, it’s better to sit at ~100 SoC than to do full discharge cycles, again unlike older battery tech which absolutely wanted full discharge cycles.
If you wanna be gentle on batteries, it’s more about not rapidly charging them rather than doing charge cycles these days. So if the gameplay loop of optimizing your battery SoC is fun: do that, if not: I wouldn’t bother

Any advice for those of us wanting the same?
We do a lot of archipelago (A9O as we call it, cuz it’s shorter to write and there’s 9 letters between… Hoping it catches on).
Factorio is a staple in it. Minecraft too!
Yeah, it’s 1.0 now and has a lot of content for the price/dev count
Just grabbed Thronefall and have been playing on the Deck a lot. It’s really fun; tower defense meets RTS with great economy. You’re always debating defenses vs scaling and some of the challenges are downright hard
Yeah, especially switching between Xbox and Nintendo mapping with A and B swapped
I don’t have a solution, just pain as well
I have the J Saux dock. I hate how aggressive their marketing is, very astroturfy, but it has been good for my deck with some peripherals.
Dumb question, you full restarted the system already yeah?
I finally grabbed Subnautica and I’m loving it so far
The second Ori game’s story is so good and absolutely had me and my wife bawling during it
Your title is hilarious
First of all, what an incredibly detailed and cool post. Thanks for that!
I don’t enjoy racing games much (though I actually raced cars and motorcycles for a decade, and then sim raced for a few years), but it’s a great reminder to re play wipeout and the old school burnout games.
I will say, on a similarish but different note, I loved Snow runner. It’s a “get stuck in the mud” sim with friends. Their recent sequel is… Weird? Closer to truck Factorio. It’s not the same game imo but I appreciate the fresh view
