  • It’s server-based so you need to be online to play. However you can pretty much play it solo without interacting with other players (which is how I generally play it, save the occasional events and challenges).

They’ve added significant amount of content post-launch which includes new locations, NPCs, missions etc so it’s not too bad, although I would say NPCs aren’t as well put together as other Fallout games.

  • OP is flagging a legitimate issue that can actually put instance owners at risk. Raising the issue that instance owners can unwittingly host illegal content and be liable for it - how is that entitled?

Totally understand that Lemmy devs are a small team, but the growth of use of the software is exploding now, and not being able to keep up is a problem of scale - gatekeeping others from raising issues does not help it get better and in fact discourages issue reports and promotes a head-in-the-sand culture.

  • I’m not sure if I’d describe RE7 as a slow-paced trip. It got pretty freaking terrifying pretty quickly. And since it’s first-person it plays quite differently than RE2/4. But it’s a must-play as I think it’s the inflection point in the RE series where the survival horror aspects really got good again.
