In all seriousness, I actually do like the PEGI12 one more. It’s more poiniant in a weird way. I’m not even kidding.

Interesting article.
I love how they are not directly taking the piss out of the quote, but going out of their way to show how there’s a vastly different meaning behind what he’s saying in opposition to what he intended.
You know, in layterms, he doesn’t fucking know the words that come out of his mouth.
Pretty sure they will only rack up a penalty for it. That said, they could make it sting though, that would also increase FTC’s power.
TBF Fortnite pivoted to battle royale so fast that it basically never even really tried to still make that a thing.
Still weird if you think about it tho.
Unfortunately that sounds like a clear cut case. Iirc they have copyright to the creatures themselves, and that case is very straightforward to prove.
not necessarily breaking their format
To some degree I’d honestly welcome that. Even if it’s not going to be some Breath of the Wild quality spin-off, I just want more creativity.
but surely a lot of that is automated, no?
You know, ppl have tried to automate it in its totality. They’ve tried to make it 50/50, but it turns out there’s not much to automate. Sure you can automate copyright claims on media sources, but that’s about it. As soon as there’s any complexity to it, human review is necessary. You have to appreciate that content moderation mistakes can have a ripple effect into platform integrity and company image as well as user experience. The risks are easy to underestimate.
This new partnership should excite fans in the region
Unfortunately Blizzard lost so much community trust with their fallouts in Overwatch 2, Diablo Immortals, Diablo 4, and in regards to sexual allegations to their own staff.
I think chinese customers will be unaware of those fallouts, but considering Blizzard fucked up their contract negotiations, those players will be very considerate when deciding to buy the next Blizzard games.
Yeah that’s quite awkward. Kinda sets a bad precedent.
And once again it shows, if you wanna surpass a company you don’t do it by attacking them, but by providing superior service or product.
Now let’s look at why they are failing: Epic Games got some good original games. BUT: they are trying to buy exclusive licenses to force players to use their client, and they didn’t even make sure their client makes for an ok experience. The menus feel sluggish and blank (except for the store which is ok at best and very inconvenient to browse), the ratio of clicks per functions is very bad, the function range is very lacking and things haven’t changed over the last 4 years.
Let’s acknowledge that in addition there’s quite a few bugs still roaming around. For example: for about a year now I am unable to open the friends list in any way shape or form.
The 21st century sure has some unique threats to some country’s military forces.
good thing is, apple and Google will get so much antitrust shit for their app stores in the near future from the EU, they will be forced to make side loading a thing at some point. So the only thing for the US to do is to get their laws together to make it legally binding for them as well.
Ironic.
It’s quite ironic when the biggest gaming event calls you out on a practice you are actively participating in and you can’t just brush it off as easily.
Very good for this to get exposure. I hope they earn a shit storm for this.

The source is from 2012. That’s internet Explorer levels of recency reporting.
I mean he had a very weak case iirc but it’s very unsatisfying to hear he still got a settlement. Makes sense tho, lawsuits are not worth it 95% of the time.
That is awful and I hope he won’t be traumatized from it. I also hope the asshole who called the swatting gets traced and prosecuted criminally.
Isn’t this the guy who was a dick about copyright to his work concerning derivatives? I remember someone saying that either for the games or for the movie they had to fight to retain licenses because he was acting up about it.
Yeah I’m gonna give the summary of the most important comments on this:
These are all the reasons why you shouldn’t go back to Unity. That said, I’m very sorry for the Devs of Unity who most definitely don’t deserve this.
Omg that’s so important.
Same, I missed the beta by one day and I’m so hyped
