I mean it runs on a steam deck – what’s holding you back? Or do you just want to run it with better settings?

I think anyone who’s tried one of these games or is the parent of someone who’s tried one of these games figures out this loophole (or alternatively , predatory practice) pretty quickly.
Oh my god, I wish someone told me this before I installed Hyprland.
I stayed up till 3am configuring it, just like when I started:
I guess it’s finally to the point where selfhosters can admit to using k8s and not be bombarded by comments saying it’s overkill, which has happened in the past for:
Anyway, I believe there is a tool also to turn docker compose files into k8s manifests if we want to take this a step further!
While somewhat niche, this seems like a great idea (for me it needs gyro or it’s a deal breaker though).
I already use a steam deck and xreal glasses to play, so it’d be great to remove some dead weight (mostly streaming 120fps 1080p from my desktop computer via moonlight/sunshine)
Annoying thing about moonlight and sunshine is that you can’t use your existing controller configs easily.
For sniping, mostly. Not sure if eidolons are the same as before, but it’s really hard to aim at the joints using joysticks without motion controllers
I’ve played something like 800 hours on the Nintendo switch, it was fine except for some of the lock puzzles which are way easier on mouse.
You gotta use motion controls though (well depending on the frame I guess)
If this can handle routing 10g this is a great choice to use as a router. It’s actually quite difficult to find a gateway that’s around this price and ISPs (at least here in Canada, or my part of Canada) are offering internet over 1Gbps at the same price as gigabit, but their routers are awful.
Have you tried playing with the flow control settings on your ubiquiti switch? I was having problems streaming video games until I toggled that setting (forget if it was on or off, though).
A lot of people thought this was the case for VMs and docker as well, and now it seems to be the norm.
There is no amount of money you could pay me to get used to Windows Updates.
Maybe try turning steam input on or off? That’s the first toggle I’d reach for with controller issues (like when Elden Ring came out).
Another alternative is you can get one of those phone controllers, and stream from your desktop PC using moonlight (client) and sunshine (server).
If your home internet has okay latency it works for a lot of controller-centric games just fine.
Hah. What prompted this post was I actually just discovered ventoy and was looking for more images to put on there.
It seems like it can even do a Windows one for when I need to do odd 3rd party firmware update that of course doesn’t support Linux.
Yeah as long as the URL has some unguessable hash I’d be okay with this, I’ll look into this.
I mean it has longhorn and NFS storage providers, k8s would just be for the services cause it’s easy to deploy and manage.
I’ve not looked, but I’m trying to look for something with an external DB next time I think.
Note that for Prometheus I think an SSD is practically required. It does not perform well with the eMMC, you’ll just get a lot of timeouts.
While I’d like it to have rumble and trackpads, I pre-ordered one (to Canada).
I just want the xbox button layout with proper motion controls, which it seems like this delivers on, and with a bonus of actual back buttons (that can be mapped in Steam, unlike when controllers emulate Xbox or switch controllers)
