You’re only saying that because it’s true.

I don’t think any console that did releases annually would be worth buying and I think you have a solid point.
That being said, it is slightly different insofar as console games are not implicitly available across generations. What I mean is PS4 games are playable on PS5 but WiiU aren’t on Switch or what-have-you.
I think most people are crossing over PC/laptop updates with game consoles and the walls are being broken down a bit.
I think Steam doesn’t want to muddy the waters with “Steam Verified” and everything just yet. They’re eventually going to with an upcoming refresh of the system, but it’s easier to get devs and consumers on the same page with Steam Deck verified and the software and such if they don’t iterate every year.
What do I know though, I’m an idiot.
I’m not getting it but those gaming chairs look like racing car chairs. I didn’t think those seats were particularly comfortable either because I thought they kept you in place when things you’re zipping around?
Yup, it’s a good reminder that Steam can change direction at any point as well.
I genuinely don’t understand it, the game itself is gorgeous.
I’ve had a friend tell me that her stream group (and her) or whatever was happy to see these woke games die. I’m only looking at this superficially but what about this game is woke? I just thought it was shit.
No lie, when I saw the ghosts in FF7: Remake or whatever … I forced myself to finish the game and there’s no way I’m likely to play any of the sequels.
Also, like, this is just me but I got into PlayStation games fairly late. I got a PS5 and I played God of War 4 and was gobsmacked about how good that game played and looked. When I played FF7: Remake, the game itself looked amazing and a younger me would have loved seeing those graphics. However, I felt the cinematics and storyline were SO lackluster. I think after seeing God of War 4 cinematics, the FF7: Remake ones felt so dated …
Btw, I actually enjoyed FF15, I know it’s like unfinished with drama and all that but I really did like playing that game.
Nintendo confirmed that with me via an email!
I have a friend that worked on Stadia. He said he couldn’t believe how little faith they had in their own system.
My personal opinion is that almost everything about it seemed botched. Which was so strange because I think it was out during COVID and it seemed to be an ideal device when parts were expensive at the time.
I remember PirateSoftware talking about the remote play online co-op on steam, I think I found it here:

Definitely doesn’t seem to be sitting on it. Hell man, I have re-bought some games on other platforms just to re-play it on my Steam Deck.
I can’t defend/accost the 30% simply due to my lack of knowledge in the industry.
I hate the Steam Deck! /s
I mean, I’m half joking but I used to sleep in bed and now I waste like 2-3 hours on Balatro instead of falling asleep at an appropriate hour.
I just bought it based on this alone. Early-access and FPS games aren’t typically my thing, but I like the cut of this person’s jib.
Yup. I’ve just been purchasing games without the Verified tag now because I’ll just be like: “yeah that seems like it’d work and it typically does”.
I made the mistake of installing Stardew Valley on it for 1.6. Oof, I’m playing it everywhere. Very bad when you can’t handle your addictions well.
Yup, I didn’t buy the Steam Deck to do 4K ray tracing at 120FPS. I bought it so I can pick up any Steam Deck Verified game and play it without relative issue. Being able to suspend the game immediately and just knowing things work beats fiddling with Windows on a handheld.
First time watching Lemmino and I’m an instant subscriber now, it was a great video. Not gonna lie the bait at the end was really enticing and I hope that this does get solved soon!
I was upset because I bought my Oculus headset before Facebook acquired it and then forced me to have a log in of theirs.
I decided not to have a Facebook account for a reason. Mainly because I don’t trust the company with my data. As enticing it is to have a VR headset and I would love to for their price … … I just don’t want to give Meta any more of my cash.
What’s happening in VR now is that Meta is licensing their Horizon OS so maybe other manufacturers can make their own headsets with Meta’s OS on top. That introduces another problem because I don’t trust that their OS isn’t spying on me either …
I think it helps not just in sales but also in terms of player count. I think just having it swarmed with the number of HellDivers makes it more alive too and gets other people more into it.
I’ve also purchased this game like three times. I bought it on PS5 so I could give it to my brother to play. Bought it for myself and for a friend of mine.
I really didn’t like FF7 Remake and I really wanted to like it. I’m a fan of the original and I liked the FF15 game despite it feeling a bit rushed and unfinished at the end and even with the battle system.
I think you do have a point about the action battle system. There’s something about it that just feels imprecise and unsatisfying compared to games in the new category it’s in (although I enjoyed FF15, so you can’t trust me)
What really bugged me is the cinematics/voice acting and story. I just finished GoW4 and Ragnarok back-to-back. I’m not expecting every game to be like GoW, but the cutscenes and stuff in FF felt so corny and cheesy after playing a game like GoW.
Also, they seem to milk Sephiroth to death. If this was a three part series, I didn’t expect to battle him once in the first game and let alone see him as much as I did (I thought the mystery of Sephiroth would have been a teaser for later games). Also, no idea what’s going on with the death clouds.
The game itself looks gorgeous though. I felt if I sent screenshots of the this game to myself as a kid, I’d have my mind blown.
I thought I remember them selling off big properties a few years ago and wanting to go crazy with NFTs. Selling off Tomb Raider, Deus Ex and stuff.
You can tell with those decisions it’s really about management. There was also all sorts of drama with FF15 behind the scenes.
