I pirate all the time. Until recently mostly on public trackers. Had malware once when I was like 12 and that’s about it. Sounds like a skill issue. Also, most cracked games get updates.

That was 4 years after the release date, tho. And the original price was 20$ not 110$. And it had been on sale for as low as 2.5$ before going f2p.
My most played games outside of actually multiplayer games are arpgs. Diablo(mostly 2 and 3), path of exile, last epoch. Diablo2 and last epoch can be played offline, PoE can’t. And yes, they’re technically online multiplayer games but most people play them alone so they might as well be single player games to me. After that my most played games are RPGs and rogue likes. Plenty of good suggestions for that already
Because sequels can’t bring new, innovative stuff? The safe play would’ve been to release 10 dlcs for the main game with new enemies, cards, characters, etc. No reason to make a second game if that’s all you’re gonna do
Yep. Fell for it a bunch of times, lastest of which was Victoria 3. Never again. A pirate’s life is the life for me when it comes to strategy games. Non-indie ones at least. Besides against the storm, I can’t remember the last time I played a strategy game and it felt like a complete game.
Because this thread is not about the update, it’s about a mod that got fucked over by the update. There’s a thread about the update itself Here
There’s obviously not enough in game if there’s a need for the mtx. Even if the game is perfectly fine without, it’s still shitty to sell mtx in a single player full price game so… I’ll just wait for the crack.
It’s qol stuff that they sell for extra money. It doesn’t matter how obvious it is. The problem isn’t that it was hidden, the problem is that it exists.
There’s over 11k people playing left for dead 2 right now, so… Plus once a game gets as big as PUBG did, it’s gonna coast for a long time on reputation alone.
I used recognizable names, including respected names such as fromsoft and supergiant which aren’t even doing it. The point I was trying to make was that the more normal and accepted it becomes, the more it will be done and it might eventually become the norm. Like the YouTube title/thumbnail trend. “We have to do it because of the algorithm! We don’t make money otherwise”
First they did it at EA, but I didn’t say anything because I don’t play EA games. Then they did it at Ubisoft, but I didn’t say anything because I don’t play Ubisoft games. Then they did it at Blizzard, but I didn’t say anything because I don’t play Blizzard games. Then they did it at fromsoft games, but I didn’t say anything because I don’t play fromsoft games. Then they did it at supergiant games, but I didn’t say anything because I don’t play their games.
Then they did it at every other fucking company because it was industry standard.
The maker of a “pigeon dating sim” game says she hasn’t received royalties in 2 years. Epic games said they’d “look into it”
I’m sorry, could you explain the last bit? Did you stop reading those series because they had too many short stories or did I misunderstand?
I meant … it’s not. There have been 3 larian games in the last 9 years, and all 3 have been great. And they’re not the only good games or RPGs. So the title is just the usual click bait crap
I think all the games that do this are annoying. We’re not stupid, we can come up with an acronym for your name. It’s silly, I know, but it made me not want to play FTL: faster than light for a long time.
