I’d say start out with Linux Mint (debian edition) if you need something simple. Bazziteos if you’re a gamer. Jump around as you see fit. Maybe put it on a vm to test it out or make a ventoy usb to put a bunch of isos on and test them all out.

I’m currently doing comp sci but have always debated doing comp eng or ee. However, I don’t want to do comp eng or ee as a career, just more as a side hobby. So I’m sticking with comp sci and I’ll do all the comp eng and ee stuff at home.

I like them because they’re really cool and helpful. They have amazing documentation which helped me get my website up and running.
