Born and raised in London. Just a normal guy with a moral compass.

London. It’s a bit wild here at the moment. As poverty goes up, people get more and more desperate.
But at the same time I would rather an integrated handlebar than clipping on my phone anyway. In my time I’ve see so many broken grips for phones and PDAs, I’m really not a fan. Maybe MagSafe can negate that, but who knows.
I dunno where you live, but round these parts people are having their phones and PDAs snatched off their bikes.

That’s bloody fantastic
If you want to rip the video and host it on your personal server, I’ll happily edit the link.
Why not?
Don’t be afraid, just mention it
From what I’ve seen, not really yet. There’s a bunch of alternatives available, but not with the same level of themes and plugins. A bunch of developers are waiting to see where people go, but I don’t think people will centralise in the same way. I have no doubt that a stopgap fork will pop up, but a bunch of more modern things will eventually share the crown.
Nice!
What adapter do you have?
Well this was always coming!
I’m in the UK and grabbed a bunch of generic switches of AliExpress and they all work perfectly.
I’ve got a bunch of cheap Tuya devices, they run like a dream. Maybe once a month I need to restart the bridge as a random device will play up. But that’s it. Runs like a dream otherwise.
ZigBee is an open standard
That’s certainly fair. Some of the implementations are terrible, leading to the necessity of things like https://github.com/doctor64/tuyaZigbee
It’s no wonder that ZigBee evolved into Matter
Me neither but it’s good to hear of others experiences
Why do you feel ZigBee is a mess?
I use it to automate my lights and heating
