Yep, that’s what everyone realises after getting stomped a few times!
Into the Breach too, it’s just a less brutal way to learn how to play
I remember having some really solid runs, easily beating every enemy I encountered… and then not even being able to make a dent on the final boss
It has been suggested the name “Stan” is a portmanteau of the words “stalker” and “fan”, though it is unknown if the name was chosen with that intention. The term “stan” has since become an internet slang term for an extremely obsessed fan of something or someone and is derived from the song’s title.
Yeah I’ve had the ‘crackly audio on resume’ bug occasionally for two years now, that said I haven’t had it for a while. I thought they’d fixed it, but maybe I’ve just been lucky!
If by always you mean the last 15-20 years, plenty more warring from the likes of Nintendo and Sega before then!
As others have said, the best answer is “whenever you want”, though obviously sometimes you don’t know when that is! If you need a little more structure you can see what the game presents to you as all the things you can do, for instance by completing all the achievements. Remember that sometimes the final achievements are ludicrously difficult, so if you’re not enjoying it just call it a day!
the answer given by the watch was not generated by AI in the strict sense but “by grabbing public information on websites on the Internet.”
So it’s just doing the same thing that Google’s “AI search” does where it copies the joke answers from reddit?
“Wobbledogs” definitely has more of a Swumble’s Big Jumble energy though
Blimey, and they say IGN only does 9/10 reviews nowadays! Fascinating article, very keen to hear if it develops any further.
What was this guy’s motivation? Playing the long game to get rich selling his kick-started ventures? Just for the glory of everyone telling him how great he is? Real altruism in a really weird way? Did he actually help improve accessibility enough in games for the ends to justify the means?
I don’t remember 4 being that chill, when you press the frog button and have to leg it back to the start for fear of losing your loot it gets pretty intense!
Wario Land 4 was probably my fave
You’ll probably have to wait a while! They made a statement earlier in the year about wanting to release SteamOS3 just for handhelds rather than every PC, so I get the impression that they want to try and perfect one thing before expanding, rather than trying to rush out a load of ideas before they’re ready.
I didn’t know Heroic did Amazon too, I’ve got Lutris set up for that
Heroic has always been fine for GOG for me, but it just wouldn’t load any of my Epic library last time I tried to use it
Speaking of Spelunky, does anyone know where you can download the original open-source version? The link on the official website times out, and the discussion forums seem dead too.
Yeah that makes sense. Do you know if there’s any more info about these projects? I’d love to know how they actually work under the covers but this post definitely seems aimed at people who already know a lot about the project!
At least they turn up the volume so you don’t have to hear them fuck
