I have expressed no want. The user I was originally responding to appears to want cross play not through Epic.
Are you misunderstanding me on purpose?

The post:
Space Marine 2’s Epic Games client on Steam is for crossplay, confirms publisher
The comment I’m replying to:
Then make the Epic version include Steam instead of vice-versa
My comment: I don’t think that’s possible because I don’t think Steam offers their services/a mini-client in the way you’re proposing.
Yeah, but, the argument here was about including some sort of Steam client with the EGS version of the game. And I’m saying I don’t think Steam offers a “stripped-down” client like Epic, EA, Ubisoft and others do.
Games launching from Steam wasn’t the point here. It was about games launching from Epic (or any non-Steam store for that matter).
Correct. But what was proposed here was a game outside of Steam using Steam’s services, which I believe isn’t a thing.
But does Steam offer a “mini-launcher” to be used on other platforms?
Maybe they do, but if so I’ve never heard of it.
(Which isn’t me defending Epic, just wondering if it is at all feasible)
Funny that this releases so soon after Frost’s video about Nick’s lies.
There were too few submissions for the Best Nintendo Switch category this year. The award committee, therefore, decided to cancel the category.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
That’s a really cool building system.
Some unassorted thoughts: I use my operator/drifter only as utility. Self revives, crossing great distances, reviving teammates. When I used Zenurik I’d also switch to use the energy regen ability, but these days I use Madurai in order to be able to self revive on higher levels. Also Void Angels.
I have built some amps, mainly for levelling. 777 got recommended to me at some point and it works well enough so I’ve stuck to it.
I use the tether and heal teammates on invis arcanes on my operator. As well as two damage ones on my amp. Most of them aren’t maxed.
I have maxed out Naramon, Zenurik, and Madurai and have all waybounds.
Way back when operators were first introduced I liked Naramon because I used a lot of melee. Then switched to Zenurik for the energy regen. Only (relatively) recently switched to Madurai, though I might have done so earlier had I been actively playing these last few years.
I want to like operator mode. I like the idea of switching out of your Warframe and just running around as a (mostly) regular dude. But none of the amps I’ve used feel great to shoot, the movement animations all feel awkward, and the operator is just fairly weak. I avoid Duviri whenever I can for the same reason. It just feels clunky and awkward and not good.
Also I use the drifter. Part of the reason being the operator voice lines which have become grating over the years. “tHe GriNeEr DeTeRiOrAtE oVeR TiMe, iS tHaT wHaT mAkEs ThEm AnGrY?!?!?”
Your voice, intonation, speech pattern, tinny mic, and even your accent make you sound exactly like some of the Warframe videos I have made back in the day. It was very uncanny.
What do you mean to imply?
A system to filter out copy-pasted meme reviews seems useful.
I think the Halo show could’ve been much more interesting too if they focused on someone not the main character of the games.
But no, gotta keep the most recognizable character
The announcement is spoiled by Embracer having closed the studio that made the original.
Not to mention the reviews, community hubs, workshop, video streaming and recording, controller support, cloud saves, family sharing.
30% may be a lot, but it’s not like they’re just sitting on it.
EA and Ubisoft don’t offer (most of) those features with their launchers where they do get the full proceeds.
This game’s story was an unexpected treat
Infested ospreys can still shoot through?
Chargers also have a projectile attack.
Depending on your definition “pay to skip” = “pay to win”.
Huh, that’s a nice write-up. Maybe I’ll look over my Nyx again sometime.
Couldn’t you have mentioned Arcane Consequence being interesting a few days ago?
(Also, tiny nitpick; Ash with his shuriken augment also has a one-handed strip so Nyx’s is technically not “unique”.)
The post is about the Steam version of Space Marine 2 shipping with Epic services. This was done for cross play.
The initial comment I replied to was about “why don’t they ship Steam services with the Epic version instead.”
I’m saying that Steam services don’t exist in such a way (to my knowledge).
