Back buttons are getting more common, thankfully - but I’d personally still love to see a transition (back?) to six face buttons.

First rule of tech disruption is to ignore patents/laws and get a big enough footprint to be able to fend off the eventual litigation. Given this is China, they can mandate implementing it on mainland devices for the initial wave, and roll out later revisions into adjacent regions over time once it’s taken a foothold.
Dude’s a billionaire, he very likely has a team of people whose sole responsibility is to keep him out of the news and/or media, unless explicitly allowed.
Only Elon Schmuck (and maybe Kanye West) are deranged enough to think they can manage their public presence positively.
My personal use devices are all some variation of Pingu (eg. iPingu, Pingtendo etc.), and my NAS devices are based off Pokémon puns (Storlax and Archivysaur currently).
My wife on the other hand is boring, so her’s are just system default.
Slight correction; you’re referring to Super Mario Bros. (1985).
The plain ol’ Mario Bros. (1983) was the arcade platformer about bunking mobs coming out of pipes:
I literally started downloading the Bazzite installer on my PC just before heading out to work - will be installing it on a spare NVME and seeing how it goes tonight hopefully!
Bazzite does have a Nvidia-specific build, I’ll report back in a day or two how I go with my 3090.
The now I hear about GTA6, the more confident I get that my pessimism towards this franchise’s future is warranted.
No Dan Houser, no Lazlow Jones, hell - probably NONE of the same dev team at all from GTAV (let alone earlier).
This is likely going to end up some weird “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” style monster where some gatcha/shark card filled “live service” is going to go around masquerading as the next entry in this franchise.
At the moment I’m 50/50 between switching over to Linux full-time, or full booting Windows 10 LTSC.
But having had to use it for work, I am adamant in saying that Windows 11 will never touch my home system drive.
I’m a PC that’s not currently “compatible” with Windows 11, because I’m too lazy/refuse to enable TPM 2.0 in my BIOS.
Given how much of a pain in the ass my work machine is with Win 11 — I’d honestly rather switch to Linux than deal with it on my home system.
I’ve been tinkering with my Steam Deck for almost a year, and haven’t been able to accidentally brick it - it’s definitely come a long way from where it was back in my uni days (early 00s).
You shut your mouth; Unreal Tournament’99 and 2004 were both legitimately epic in their day!
Now get off my lawn… *damn kids today*
I’m sure there would be a few, surely? Multi-million dollar lottery win; finding an old USB key with a bunch of bitcoin; discovering an oil/gas reserve on your property; finding a suspicious unattended briefcase filled with unmarked bills; an unexpected inheritance from a previously unknown great-aunt, provided you spend a night in her haunted manor…
…yoy know, just those usual circumstances that happen to all of us!
The success of the Steam Deck alongside the Nintendo Switch I think is the primary reason MS is attempting to enter the market, and So y is giving it another try.
Out of curiosity, is there any reason why you don’t consider the Vita a PSP2?
I swear I played D2 at 800x600 - was that enabled in the expansion pack?
Yup; RIP to Billie Jean as the first song you hear when you jump into a car for the first time in Vice City.
Yikes; whatever I expected from the remasters - this ain’t it.
The original C&C remaster did a similar graphics upscale, but they at least managed to at least mostly pull it off.
Given they could have potentially rasterised WOW assets to provide a cohesive feel to players, this is just a total ball-drop.
Understatement of the decade, IMO!
I’ve barely touched my Steam games library as it is, have just dived headfirst into emulating my retro game collection (PS1, 2, 3 & Portable); along with SNES predominantly - because fuck Nintendo.
It’s not xenophobia, it’s a matter of national security for every single western nation. Without Intel, x86 processor manufacturing would be limited to TSMC in Taiwan, and would only serve to further incentivise Chinese aggression over the island.
So yes, paranoia - but sometimes that can be a good thing.
Need to leave some features out intentionally, to add later to the PS6 as a selling point and incentivise customers to upgrade!
Pretty sure Lord GabeN still holds a grudge against us from that time the ACCC sued Steam over local pricing and consumer protection laws; so we’re very unlikely to ever see local hardware releases.
I ended up getting mine through an eBay seller a year ago - no regrets so far.
Not OP, but I assume it’s got something to do with entrusting an unaudited, closed-source 3rd party to significantly alter your OS.
There are plenty of similar tools available, which are both open source and can be run by the end-user over a stock Windows installation.
