I have Nextcloud running on a Pi4 and it runs like a charm. It has a lot of RAM and processing power to spare, actually. The good thing about arm mini computers is the exceptionally low power draw. You can’t achieve that with some old x86 PC.

Why would they do that. No they didn’t. They wanted to push something official because of the show and generally don’t bother not breaking mods with updates.

There is just no point in hoarding. Whatever you bought and didn’t play immediately is gonna be on sale again. So either play it within the next two weeks or so or don’t buy.

I haven’t tried Starfield because it’s still getting patched, but Bethesda games are some of my favorites. Yes they’re janky and everything but I love exploring and looting and they really nail that.

Fairphone 5 can force slow charging via settings. I use it all the time because I usually charge over night and it helps preserve battery life.

For the average person, that is impossible. Also, you lose a lot of features compared to SteamOS. Also, the controls are (at least to me) a main selling point and there is no controller on the market that comes close to the capabilities of the Deck.

Apart from exploiting gambling addicts and you not really owning most games, Valve are rather consumer friendly. Or at least they appear to be because their competitors are even worse.

Processing power wise it’s almost exactly the same. The main appeal of the new APU is its increased power efficiency.

Signal needs automatic cloud backups so badly. They’re encrypted anyways, why not allow it as an option?

I’ve used it for years now and it’s great and I managed to get all my friends to install it. But manual backups are basically impossible for the average user. Also it’d be nice if we could bulk export pictures more easily.

Competitors have better performance, but the overall hardware of Steam Deck is unmatched so far. Trackpads alone make it so much more flexible.

Steam Deck is not limited to handheld, you can hook it up to a desk setup with USB -C. Also, I used to play CSGO handheld. I’m in the low silvers even on PC and it doesn’t make a big difference to me skill wise. You can be really precise with trackpad + gyroscope.
