People paying 70$ for games that were already released is why the gaming industry is so lame right now.
It’s pretty interesting seeing the playercount on Steam over time, especially since Steam only has an entry for “Call Of Duty,” where all the games function as DLC. –
MW2’s Steam release (no Warzone) - 263k peak players
Warzone’s Steam release - 491k peak players
MW3’s Steam release (including Warzone) - 190k peak players
It’s doing pretty badly on Metacritic too:

The 0% of critics recommended on OpenCritic made me genuinely LOL.

Yeah, I thought that it might just be review bombing by people pissed off about it, but while player scores are a lot lower than the critic scores, the critics are rating it pretty badly too.
EDIT: Forbes is running an article talking about how badly it’s reviewed compared to every other game in the franchise:
Shit I was just having fun playing all the maps from the old days. Was it worth 70? Idk are wheat thins worth $6?. I hope enjoying something that is just okay doesn’t lose me the esteemed regard of the people who rate my buzzed up commentary.
