TBH it’ll be better for them and Halo T_T
Just hand over the reins to Obsidian and it’ll be 10x better than what Bethesda can produce.
There’s no anticheat in the game?
The bonfire mechanic (meditation spots), enemies respawn every time you rest (meditate), XP that is lost when you die. Hack and slash combat that rewards good dodge and parry timings.
It’s more of a Soulslite because there’s basically a checkpoint for the perk points that is permanent after you get it. There are also difficulty settings in the game that adjust the damage that you receive and the parry window.
This is out of the topic of the Souls element of the game, but I love the realistic combat modifier in NG+ where the battles are much more realistic where you and the enemies will die after getting one or two hits. It’s similar to the Lethal difficulty on Ghost of Tsushima. Made the game much more enjoyable and made you really feel like you’re playing a Kurosawa movie.
I thought the Jedi games are more like souls lite metroidvania games. Scratched that itch for a Star Wars game. From the article it seems that they’re making an FPS. I hope it’s more of a Titanfall 2 main campaign type of game.
That’s why you play in honor mode :p
All jokes aside, I had the most blast playing the game when going in blind on a Dark Urge playthru with honor mode.
It depends on the game. Japanese devs are notorious for adding new content in NG+ runs. A good example is Armored Core 6 where you can still get new content up to NG++ and the one that takes this to an extreme is Nier Automata where the meat of the game is the NG+ runs.
If you’re a HP fan the game is a no-brainer. But if not I suggest finding another AAA RPG game. I borrowed my friend’s copy via family sharing and I only got maybe around 4-5 hours in before I got bored and uninstalled the game.
I feel ya on the MMOishness of D4. When you’re doing an event and all of a sudden a 100 level guy comes in and destroys everything in 0.5 second it can ruin the immersion somewhat.
Yea, I only played D4 again after finishing Starfield, BG3, AC6 (till NG++), and AW2 (definitely will play again when the NG+ dropped).
I’m playing season two. It’s quite decent, a good game for me to decompress. TBH I played pre-season until WT4 and stopped at level 79. This season is much more streamlined and I’m currently on level 75 after 1/3 of the time played vs my pre-season char. I’ll give Last Epoch a whirl after beating all the endgame bosses.
Starfield felt much bigger for me when I didn’t use fast travel. I used to play Elite extensively so needing to walk back to my ship and take off and then needing to plot a course to my destination makes it feel larger. I agree with you on the you’ve felt that you’re only 10 hours in and then when you checked your playtime you’re already 30 hours in.
In my case I just played a couple of faction quests and I’m already 60 hours in. Coming from Armored Core 6 I just basically spent most of my time building ships.
The 0% of critics recommended on OpenCritic made me genuinely LOL.

Sadly this is not applicable in my country. If you want to get a Steam Deck unfortunately you’ll need to shell out more money compared to buying a PS5 or an Xbox Series X.
There’s a possibility that it’s not coming to Steam. Ever.
Epic is acting as the publisher and they funded the development of the game. However there’s always the possibility of Alan Wake 2 not selling well enough on EGS so Epic decided to put the game on Steam to recoup the costs.
It looks like Extraction based shooters are the new Battle Royale shooters. All of the AAA devs are spinning up their own take of the formula. To be honest extraction based shooters are not for me, because most of the time you’re just going to get killed by campers or people using wall hacks.
They’re releasing now to get more people to beta test the game. It’s being on Game Pass Day One shows that intention. I’ll prolly install it to see how it performs on my PC.
When you’re a kid you just don’t have the frame of reference to know that gameplay can get better than what you’re having. I still remember the games that I played (and loved playing) when I was a kid got really shat on the reviews when I tried looking it up on the internet.
Reportedly Gaben has implemented safeguards to prevent Valve from getting public after his death. So at least we can hope Valve doesn’t go public in our lifetimes.
If you treat people better, then how’re you going to be able to get your 5th yacht and your 3rd private jet?
