The DLC is locked behind two bosses. You’d have to complete the prerequisite before getting access to the DLC zone and content.

All of it is configurable. You can decide how many hours in a day or how fast the day progresses. You can adjust the multiplier for castle decay and resource consumption for maintenance and crafting. Very granular control of most aspects of all the systems.

And at the end of the day it’s your server so shoot an AdminAuth and you can use the give command to get the things you want or need. Have fun the way you want!

It’s a ton of fun if you’re into resource gathering base building games. Combat is fun and varied. No exp grind, your level is your equipment, so THAT’S the grind. Resources and equipment.

Totally recommend hosting your own server or paying for it if you can. Tried playing in the public servers and it’s brutal finding a spot when you land. PVP can be fun but not for everyone. And you can tweak the quality of life to your liking.

And is that the fault of the business? No. Entitled consumers bitching about something that was plainly communicated on the store page and upon game launch, and clicked to accept the terms is still ridiculous.

But it was included in the game launch announcement? People getting mad about not reading before clicking is absurd.

I’m not for telling people how to have fun, but we can encourage them to make better choices in companies they support. I’ve lost the taste for subscription based games because I felt like I had to dedicate all my free time to “get my money’s worth”.

It’s pretty for a free game. The rounds are monotonous and I suck at the frantic pace 😅
