  • Enemies are bullet sponges too.

    That’s kind of intentional and part of the design of MOBAs.

    In the early game, this makes it difficult to get kills unless the enemy makes a mistake. You want players to have to choose between spending their time harassing their opposing player or farming minions.

    Later on, the bullet sponge effect makes for longer, more interesting fights. That can end up, being not the case, though, if the economy is too one-sided. That’s another reason for the bullet sponge design - to make the economy more important. That’s how many souls you collect. Buying more means you’re stronger with items and the fights are more in your favor.

    So, essentially, the bullet sponge amplifies the more interesting/complex elements of the game. They wouldn’t really be possible if you could just one-hit your opponent from base level.












  • Different people have different priorities. Sure, pay and benefits is a factor that just about everyone considers. The difference lies in the weight that factor holds for them compared to other factors such as a genuine enjoyment from their work, wishing to avoid taking from the strike fund, or any other factor that matters to them.

    For most people, the consideration works out in favor of a strike. In a large enough population, though, it won’t for some people. 95%+ is really good. Let’s take it and not alienate those that didn’t vote for it. That leads to attrition of the union.






  • The up/down directions won’t correspond to on/off anymore, because the smart switch can turn the light on/off without affecting the rocker direction.

    I think it’s worth trying this. You can set the shelly to toggle the light every time the switch is changed. While up/down won’t necessarily correspond to on/off anymore, it’s certainly the most convenient. I think it’s worth trying it and seeing if you get used to it.
