They’re hoping the mod communities will put life back into these games, increasing sales at little to no expense to EA. It just so happens to be good for the consumer too.

I’m very surprised it’s under GPL v3, a copyleft license. I was expecting much worse.

To use the compiled binaries, you must own the game. The C&C Remastered Collection is available for purchase on EA App or Steam.
